What's it for?
What is its purpose? Are there any advantages in having a friend over a contact and if so, what are they? I don't do all the myspace thing and think it may have something to do that but to be honest I have not got clue. So what's it all about please?

Whatever you want it to be
![]() Just improves networking and maybe helps other members know who you are with in a way, who approves you. I know some of the people in my friendship list I know personally and on a higher level than your usual myspace types but then again it's a personal thing and it means different things to different people. I guess the most important thing is that visitor messages/albums/friendship lists serve to diversify and liven up the place a little more, and also for people to ascertain individuals characters much better. Pretty useful indeed when you're almost always interacting with someone through a bunch of cables and wires.
