I've never been sunburned in my life. I only know the word in an abstract sense.

Maybe it's just a trial - I mean you could say it's church related, right? So hold on to your faith, and never mind these infidels...

Red as a beet are ya!

Man that has got to hurt. Do what these guys are telling you, use lots of aloe vera. It does wonders but no matter what you do you are going to go though a few days of pain and then the best part peeling

Well there's a pretty simply biological reason for this -- you ain't white! I mean, I'm half Okinawan (normally I say Japanese, but Okinawans are much darker than Japanese so it's an important distinction in this case) and even though I look like your average brown-haired white guy, I don't sunburn very easily either -- normally I tan, as I suspect you do, too.

Not saying that darker-skinned people don't burn, just that it's harder.

Anyway, guys, don't be so mean ta general. He tried (SPF48 out to be enough for anybody) -- I don't think the fact that the sun burned him anyway makes him stupid. But, then, with a nick like that, you almost invite abuse. Don't worry, gen', it's happened to most of us.
