how has 2008 treated you?
as for me, it's been pretty shitty overall.
parents divorcing, aunt who was/is my serrogate mother was in and out of the hospital all year, my grandma passed away, getting laid off from my main job, and as of today, i'm single....but the single part is the bonus cuz she was super insecure. no need to deal with that kind of BS. so overall, how would you say 2008 treated you? |

About 5 years ago I thought I had the worst year ever... I was wrong. This year has topped that by miles. Not just for me, but for most of my family and the few people I know it has been one bad after another with no breathing time in between.
For me personally, the worst has been my Mothers death.......  R.I.P Mom........ I miss You Compairativly I don't need to list the rest of the many traumas that happened to me this year....... most of which are still going on.

Probably the best year of my life. Have a job that is enjoyable (most of the time), pays 2x as much as I was making a year ago, and have loads of free time.

School was a complete failure, getting those exam results made me feel so shit that's when i started chain smoking because i thought it was the end of the line and i was fucked.
That's when college came to the rescue, i had an option to re-do the GCSE's that i'd failed at school and so far it's going great. New atmosphere, new people, new tutors, lovin it and i've stopped chain smoking. not smoking full stop but chain smoking at least One thing i could seriously do without is the constant fucking illness, if it isn't an infection it's a virus, and if it isn't eitheir of those it's blocked sinuses. Had a lot of good experiences and memories i'm gonna keep though. Life's a shitheap, but it's free so take it. those glorious summer nights gettin wasted on alcopops, learning how to flip and then doing it outside, picking up new freerunning techniques, girlfriends. Not in that order of course lol

A pretty good year. The year kicked off pretty well with me getting the Radeon 3870 that I won at DH in late 2007. My first child was born, a very cute girl, and it sure helps kill available free time, but it's quite rewarding. Work is, lets call it currently uncertain, but was pretty good during the year. Hobbies went down quite a bit, including PC gaming, but cell phone gaming went up (there are quite good games on phones, I discovered, which wasn't the case last time I looked, a couple of years ago).
All in all, can't complain, except that my wife has a laptop that's better in most respects than my desktop (the aforementioned 3870 is the major exception). |

It started out as a crappy year am mean really a terrible year
1 lost my girl 2 lost my job and was really broke But then things changed toward the end of the year: 1 got a good job late this year 2 got a girl also late this year 3 got a tower cooler master HTX2 just yesterday  So the year is looking up!

Kind of an even year I guess...for every bad thing a good thing happened.
Bad Cat of 14 years died Got Fat PC started to die cause I didn't upgrade for years Still Single Fedor didn't fight Randy Couture  Good Got a great kitten Lost all the fat, muscled up Built new PC for the New Year Not Married! Fedor didn't lose

i lost a friend this year... my best friend actually... he was my age, 23 when he died... car accident... and after a six month period in a comatose state, he passed away...
i was truly crushed for a while... for a long time actually... didn't know what to do or even say to his family... i was a regular guest there, in his house... his smaller sister just started hanging out with us... i'm not really good at sharing my feelings, although i know i might have to learn how to do that one day... i just kind of keep them up bottled inside me... i know that is not healthy, but i just can't seem to force myself to share my feelings with anyone... i'm sorry if i bothered anyone with my post. i know most of you have your own problems to worry about... i try to keep things positive in life, but you can't controll some of the events that happen, they just hapeen and there is nothing you can do about it... i hope that the next year is beter than this one is...

Well Short answer is GOOD.
There are many bad things i could say, but, all in all..another year, im still healthy and kickin! yet like many others here i have recently lost my job. This is a major self esteem buster, also my dad has some major surgery coming up on Dec, 26th. Not the best year ever.. but not the worst! Hope i have alot more to come.

This year has been OK. I guess it's better than having a bad year. Nothing much's happened, although it could be a great year if I could somehow get a new rig in these few days until 2009 (this ones making funny noises...honest!).
