Actually, no. Dr. Pepper is a Cadbury Schweppes beverage that is licensed by Coca Cola.

I never had to find out about that end of Irn Bru, but it is the stuff of the gods. No question. Damn the brewers, only making it in Scotland (One of these days, I'll go work in Glasgow, not have to worry 'bout hunting for the stuff... I last had one 4 years ago )! I'd pay quite a bit to get some over here I can't even find anywhere online that ships the stuff...

Mr. Pibb is better than Dr. Pepper, just because it has much more caffeine in it. However, Dr. Pepper has a higher education, so its a tight race

OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG talking about this made me go look around again for stores.. and LOOK! I'm gonna go look at shippin, and if its even quasi-reasonable I'm gonna get some

Dr Pepper....taste the difference

Dr. Pepper tastes kinda tangy and mildly sweet with out the over saturated sugar tongue hammer of coke....You cantake any cheap booze and mix it with coke because it completely overpowers the flavor...(of the booze)
And as a side note...wanna a smooth fulfilling flavor of a quality alcoholic beverage........TUACA....
You can make coke taste better with TUACA....

I personally dislike Dr. Pepper for the most part (but if it's the only thing around I'll drink it!), but I thought you guys might find this write-up about Dr. Pepper pretty interesting/amusing. Of the flavor, the author writes:

Like all of its kin, Dr Pepper is typically drunk cold, often poured over ice. It shouldn't be. Coldness and carbonation, while undeniably refreshing, have a numbing effect on the taste buds, and ice melts and dilutes. This is fine for typical, simply-flavored drinks, whose chief (and often sole) merit is quick refreshment. But Dr Pepper is far from typical.

It was by pure chance that I made this startling discovery a few months ago. I had left a can, with a smidgen of the beverage at the bottom, sitting on my desk for a few days. When I finally got around to clearing my workspace, I realized that the can could not be recycled unless empty, and I didn't feel like finding a sink to pour it out. So I drank it: warm, flat, nearly week-old Dr Pepper.

It was delicious. The ambient de-carbonation of my leftover drink had brought out all sorts of subtle nuances of flavor, usually masked by the bubbles and cold temperature. Vanilla, citrus, and woodsy overtones of the sort expected in better-quality wines. Nobody drinks good wine (red wine, that is) cold, nor do they put bubbles in it. Doing so would cheat the drinker out of full enjoyment of the wine's flavor. And no equally complex drink deserves such treatment. Infusion into cold soda water makes the bitter taste of cola tolerable. But such treatment worsens Dr Pepper's flavor.

The inventors of Dr Pepper put a marvelous flavor in an entirely inappropriate medium. [...]

I am looking at the vote results, and am somewhat surprised to see that someone (DOM) likes Diet Decaffienated Coke!

What, sir, may I ask, is the point of drinking such a beverage? Might I suggest Club Soda instead?

Maybe that's why they made Red Fusion. It has (or seems to have) less carbonation as you can drink it practically straight from the can without getting any/much bite (like Barq's has bite). Interesting, I'll have to try that: flat Dr. Pepper at room tempature. Opening can now!

digerati will become famous soon enough

I like pepsi over coke. But they both take a backseat compared to Sunkist. My favorite soda! (or for you eastcoasters: My favorite pop!)

Reminds me of this story:

A man walked into a store and asked the clerk for a Moon Pie and RC.

The clerk said, "You must be from Alabama."

The man replied, "That's one of the most prejudice things I've ever heard someone say!"

"How's that?" the clerk asked.

"Well, I come in here and ask for a Moon Pie and RC and the first thing you say is, 'You must be from Alabama!'"

"So?" the clerk said.

"Well, if I'd come in here and asked for Mongolian Beef and and Egg Roll, would you say, 'You must be from China'?"

"No."

"And if I came in here and asked for a Beef Enchilada and Tortilla Chips, would you say, 'you must be from Mexico'?"

"No."

"So, why is it I come in here and ask for a Moon Pie and RC and you say, 'You must be from Alabama'?"

"Well, for one thing," the clerk said, "this is a hardware store."
