This video ("The Future of Food") is essential viewing. It will make you realize what is happening with GM crops.

It effects us all and it makes you wonder if the people doing this are human.

economy + cooperate greed = global financial fallout x global financial market instability

third world country + cooperate greed = political instability + extreme poverty

politics + cooperate greed = coverups + war

natural world + cooperate greed = pollution x global warming + destruction of all natural global systems

endagered human cultures + cooperate greed = loss of personal identity + negative globalization effects

this one i find particularly disgusting:

health care x cooperate greed = unsafe medications in pharmacies + denial of health care to the sick

so then

Organical patents need to be nullified, but the main problem there is that companies are allowed to get too big and do pretty much as they wish with peoples lives.

I saw the film Home that just got out and is freely available. While quite overdone on its artsy side it covers the basics of what we need to deal with in the immediate future. Perhaps its approach will partly connect to a new crowd.

it does' it take a senior bioligist @ cambridge university to realize that GM foods that act a pesticides , i.e kill insects that form part of the natural order of things, will only help to throw the already imbalanced ecology into further disarray.

i have never been one for GM on those grounds, what happens when GM plants end up in the wild?

In the last year or so I very rarely eat red meat and quite a lot of other stuff. some of this is due to my accident last year but I feel a lot better for it.

Basically live on fish now .....

Best paying a bit more for high quality organic food in ireland, much better quality.

indeed..

i get my meats and everything from local farms here... eggs and all that great stuff... even milk if it's available.... it's 100% better for you..

all these companies are nuking or cooking thier ingredients which is just a little stupid, specially when they have to inject vitamins and such that it already had back into it after.

People's immune system is getting a shit kicking because they haven't naturally digested real food that has the little bastards in there.

If there is a pandemic at some point, it'll be caused by the major corporations and such for there attempt at cleanlyness, efficiency, and top production levels, and then of course for the sheer waste produced by all those factors being spewed out into the very enviroment that we live.

It's actually illegal for a milk producer to post that there are NO growth hormones in their product........ so most here are clueless......

makes me think in africa its very hard to regulate anything basically because cooperations from powerful nations got money to buy off people and we basically dont have a choice 99% of the products we consume here are american/european. Yeah believe it, and I know for sure that there is very little quality control for these products.

Basically i know i'm eating genetically modified poisous foods but we here in africa can do little to stop it.
whats sad is what happens to all the animals and plants in nature when these "cooperate breeds" intermingle with the already pressured ecology.
