The empress and the warriors

Okay, I figured what the heck, pickup a boxed set of some HBO and get a Dragon Dynasty film, they are usually worth a look see. I put THE EMPRESS AND THE WARRIORS in and settle down for some improbable but action filled romp through the bamboo forests of China. I really liked the art and scale of the action sequences, some of the improbable but romantic situations. The plot wasnt hard to figure out after about thirty seconds and the action will not disappoint, but I have to tell you. I brought it to work a week ago and the girls loved it. It ran on the big screen in the auditorium for three consective afternoons before I had to give it to our receptionist who was overjoyed. Okay...inspite of all the loose ideas that sort of collide in the movie, the girls loved it, and that silly fellow from Health Records. I admit it isnt as good as the Warrior or a silly as the promise, but it definitely full of corny romance and violence and a dash of social commentary and smaltz...
Find it in the bargain bin, but it isnt that bad.

I know the choreographer is famous for House of Flying Daggers (awesome) and Hero (totally awesome). Its an arty film but so worth it if you dont mind the melodrama. Like these types of movies, I dont mind the explosions of emotion and good guy vs bad guy themes. Its totally Chinese which makes it so much better.
I can recommend BLACK SCORPIAN too, if you dont mind the plot twists that seem so improbable and of course, MELODRAMA. LOL..
you got to love this sort of thing and I sure do.

But then again, I like NOH theater too
If you can , find all the movies with actress Zhang Ziyi, I am sure you will agree, she brings so much to her movies and no one pic can capture her beauty.
