I am sure her seakeeping is excellent, oweing to very little real sail area and anything below the waterline that keeps her on an even keel. Above she is a big floating design with aesthetic appeal, below the water I am sure she has a split hull and a square transom and long narrow rudders and special variable units to keep on station. Its for pleasure and its a James Bond movie styling exericse, but some billionaire can afford it. Its art and yet it is just a thing. If she sunk, and I seriouisly doubt it, the insurance is already paid.
No this is just an exercises in style. beauty and grace. Art follows form?...
well maybe not here, but its beautiful in my book, and I am a sailor

It looks like they were making some sort of dedicatory vessel to Charlie the Tuna. Seriously, it looks WAY too much like a fish. For 94 million dollars, you might as well have just built a yacht shaped like...well, a big, fat peen. That's obviously what's missing.

I have to admit, the design is odd and what people think are true fashion pushed the envelope a bit on taste and function over form, but there are people out there that have the money, the skills and the expetise to take new materials to a new level. I am not a fashionista, by any stretch, but I see what women like to buy, wear and use at home for instance and the trends they follow, etc.
I look forward to new case mods for computers, new IPOD or music player designs, etc.
I dont like the MAC air, but I understand the attraction to the novelty of the something that is thin, light and functional, I hope it gets better.
I hope we stay with curves, flowing angles and accents that appear more natural, and turn away from the angled and squared look.
Like the cars and airplanes of the immediate past, I hope they become beautiful again.
