Drummers and life
This was somewhat inspired by my long time friend Chaos on this thread.
Chad can certainly hammer the drums he and Flea make the Peppers what they are as far as I am concerned. I have seen quite a few concerts and drummers in my time. Chris Adler from Lamb of God as well as Lars Ulrich and Matt Sorum stand out as I have seen them live. The latter two in the early 90's at the big Metallica, GNR and Faith No More concert in Toronto. One will always stand before them for me and I met him about 8 years ago at a drum clinic here in Kingston. Mitch Dorge met me at the door and I didn't even know who he was he shook my hand and welcomed me in. He was about 4 feet tall and bald in my perspective. I had no idea he was the former drummer for the Crash Test Dummies at first. During the clinic Mitch and I had a laugh as well because he indicated guitar players reserved a 1 foot square area on the stage and stayed in it. He asked if there were any guitar players in the audience and being as shy as I am I pulled a guitar pic from my pocket and held it up. He asked what it was ... I said Kryptonite for drummers ![]() I will leave you with some of Mitch he is a great guy and left the Crash Test Dummies because a few of the members couldn't handle there substance abuse ![]()

anyway, i had the change to see him live in Serbia in Belgrade while performing with Mr. Bungle (one of his projects)... hope to see him perform one day with Lovage or Peeping Tom...

Re: Drummers and life
Well to be kind Bro Faith No More sucked at that concert doing childish things like intentionally hanging the mics over onstage monitors to create feedback
![]() On Mitch he rocks if you get a chance check him out wish I had a clip of the night I saw him. He played over a piano piece he wrote and recorded in 17/16 time.

... that's cuz Mike's craaaaazy... hahahha ... he doesn't care what others think... you should hear what he does under his other project's nowerdays... you couldn't even classify it under rock or metal... experimental would be the right word for it i think... ![]() Quote:
![]() i don't think the Mitch is comming anywhere near where live to play, but if he does, will make sure to watch him... ![]() Danny Cary from Tool is my favorite drummer... i got him to sign my Lateralus copy when they were perfrorming in Belgrade 4 years ago... ... damn, i was happy...

Nice.
In relation, here's Terry Bozzio. Best drummer ever. Watch this and his solo "The Black Page" performance.
