Went to pick up a budget cpu fan, the Cooler Master 212 EVO, for a rig I'm building for my sister and some PWM fans for my Noctua D-14 but found something special instead. The Thermalright Silver Arrow with dual 140mm PWM fans!

I tried putting the fans onto my D-14 but that would take a bit of modding so I'm just going to keep the entire Silver Arrow and give her the Noctua.

I got the Dell u2412m ips monitor and I'm really happy with it. It's got lower specs than real expensive displays but for everyday use it rocks. And yes, I game on it despite slower response times than tn panels! Took me about 20 minutes of fiddling with controls but the colors are BEAUTIFUL.

Back from a small trip to Orlando and can now continue with some stuff i picked up before leaving.

Saw this case and it tickled my geekness.

With great cases comes great computational responsibility. Quad SLI should do it. At least the box was smaller the second time around.

I picked up a Fuente de alimentación ATX de alto rendimiento, just in case.

I rearranged the room where the PC is and the previously shared AV receiver and speakers are now solely used for movies and consoles. So had to get some speakers for the PC.

Step aside Spawn, The Adder wants his turf back.

Wanted to try this out. Don't know what config i'll end up with. Depends on how i place the next item on my list.

Last few i've owned were the Intuos, Graphire and before that the Koala Pad. (who's old enough to remember that?)

After years of abuse, a new tripod was in order.

My first ball head. Very nice to operate.

Was planning to get a 5D (with video capabilities) so i can take it to my trip to Florida, but at the last minute i heard Canon was coming out with a refresh soon, so decided to wait. I purchased a new lens anyway.

That's some crazy loot. Apparently that Azza Fusion 4000 case can hold two systems at once with an ITX compartment on top. The design idea is so wierd I have to like it. Can't recall I've heard of that manufacturer before.

A little update on the Thermalright Silver Arrow...

After removing the Noctua D-14 I slowly put together the Silver Arrow and installed it. This thing is an absolute nightmare to install. I had read it was tricky but that doesn't even begin to describe how mind numbingly stupid the install is. If you haven't lost your shit during the wrench install step you must have achieved a Zen state of being. I do not recommend this cooler just because of the install and design. I've installed the D-14 in my sleep and people think that one is scary. I'm pretty pissed off to be honest it one of the more frustrating hardware installs I can think of in a decade.

Once I finally got it up and running I found out one of the 140mm fans is defective and makes some noise that just isn't right. Pretty much the only reason I bought this thing was for the PWM fans, one is running on PWM now, I put a Gentle Typhoon 1250RPM fan on as a temporary solution but it runs off my case fan controller and is quite loud on high. I don't know if Thermalright will send me a replacement fan I'll give it a shot. As for the temps, it's early to give numbers but they are lower than the D-14.

haven't spent much time with these yet, but i'm impressed with what i've heard so far.
they're still a bit sharp, need burning in, and i've got a whole bunch of modding i want to do to them too, but i reckon these have the potential to be awesome for the money

define cheap. For you, a few hundred? If yes, try the AKG headphones. My favorites, though not cheap for my wallet.

my missus has a proper mental block about headphone spending, about the most i can get away with is £60 ish or thereabouts, hence my quest to find a 'cheap' set that are also awesome. these Superlux could be them actually, with a bit of modding

i have a pair of AKG incidentally, K450's, use them when i'm out and about. great portable cans

I have only had the phone for an hour or so.So my impressions are low atm..

The VK is a lilltle fiddly atm,But hopefully with use i should get to hit the letter i intend to hit first time..

I have it for almost 4 months now. Bad battery life, bad signal, mediocre at best virtual keyboard, touch sensitive buttons that are way way too sensitive. WAY too easy to make a phone call by mistake and almost impossible to cancel it before it dials up. And a couple more things that have to do with Android in particular.
I feel bad saying these since it was a gift and helpful at that since my previous phone was dying, but...I kinda hate it.

I hope you have better experience with it.

I will gladly change to a candi type phone and non android OS, ASAP (a couple of years...

Only time will tell..

The BB Curve 8520 Batterys life were quite poor and thats one of the reasons i swapped phone..

The Phone lock works quite well already but i do have a back up in the post already.And i never use a touch screen phone without one Flip Case and It includes a screen protector for £5.

One of the options i find quite handy is were the quick options on the front page to disable WiFi / Blue tooth / GPS etc when not in use..

But for signal it's going to dependent on Network (O2 for me) as i need to keep my stored numbers (Sim Card Backed).And how strong a area is for reception..

Here are the peripherals I got in preparation to the (long awaited) PC I'm going to build in the (hopefully) coming days (if the components arrive eventually rofl)

What do you guys think?
