Opening Pandora's Box
What's the worst pain you have ever felt??
Mine would be lying in bed trying to sleep, but keep getting awakened while hallucinating and the middle of your mind being sucked out of your head into the pictures and motions that you see along with all your happiness.

Re: Opening Pandora's Box
1. fell off a motorcycle travelling into a cul de sac at an unreasonable speed, slid on my new Levi jeans across some bumpy gravel and sand, bounced over a curb, hit a for sale sign in a yard, slid across the wet grass on my bare belly and hit a kiddy pool full of green water.
2. as an apprentice brick maker, I seperated the male and female part of a cam operated brick mold and attempted to pry out some rock that blocked the pressurized mix. I wore a metal gauntlet and used a crow bar on both halves so I didnt feel the cam rotate through one full revolution, force the mold together crushing my hand, two rubber belts vibrated the mold together and forced my trapped hand against the metal. I sustained second and third degree burns on the anterior portion of my hand and crushed the 2nd, 3rd and 4th carpal and meta carpals almost flat and lost 50 percent my tendons, fascia and skin. I screamed bloody murder for half an hour till someone outside ran in to pee, saw me and hit the reset and repressurized the mold, focing it apart. My hand retained the shape of the mold for three days. I required 6 months of burn care and physical therapy. To this day, I still have a GI Joe Kung Fu grip on my right hand. 3. During the gulf war, my battleship participated inthe first launch of block two tomahawks to IRAQ. we intended to launch four missles and the third, for some reason did not leave the ABL (armoured box launcher) and remained in the launch tray. The booster ignited prematurely and burned a hole in the main deck and blast shield forcing a jet of hot gas and molten metal into our fire team on the 02 level. The nozzleman, sweep and recover team were blown down the wooden deck. The teak was so hot that even though we went to OBA's and lit our cansiters, the hot gas blew our flash gear off and burned quite a few of us. I was lucky because I operated the bale on the hydrant, but the sweep team and nozzle man had to be dragged back across the deck. Our clothes melted and our mask did too and the hot air just cooked our shoes and gear. When we retreated to the battle dressing station we were sprayed off with salt water and it burned the shit out of me and a few of our other guys. I had to pick off the melted plastic and burned cloth off of my legs, arms and from my neck. We returned after twenty minutes of salt water deluge on the ABLS and the booster burned out. The metal was hot and when we attempted to open the dogs on the water tight door on the weather deck it burned nearly clean through our gloves. We took turns hitting with a dogging pipe and using a it like a fulcrum to force the door open. 4. Reflash and fire in number two engine onboard our ship. We entered a space after we used a nozzle to control the class Alpha and charlie with foam. When we opened the water tight door, the fresh air lit off the misted fuel from a valve rupture and set it off. The doors shut and we had to escape using the vertical trunk and lit off the Halon in the engineering space. it went from burning hot air to ice cold Halon in a split second. and the ladder to the Engineering shop was burning hot to the touch. You will never read about that in any history books. I didnt have all my flash gear on so I got a nasty hot blast of air and then nasty Halon to boot through my fire resistant uniform.

I will make sure to never approach you more than 20m. My muscles on the left side, near the shoulder, got teared apart and...that...was painful. I managed to not go to the hospital for a couple of days, but without sleep (impossible to sleep with that pain) and regular painkillers doing shit, on the third day (IIRC) I went to the hospital. They gave me some strong medicine (injections) and it got just a tiny bit better over the next few days. It remained very painful for another couple of months, and I could feel pain, but I could tolerate it, for the next couple of years+.

Re: Opening Pandora's Box
When I was young a sewing machine fell off the top of a shelf and right onto my head. I don't remember feeling any pain, but I do believe I can see the other side and into dreams very clearly also I had a massive lump the size of half a golfball sitting on the top.
I don't know if this is major , but I had a lump on my bicep once and I let my ex-gf's psychic mother looked at it once and she pressed really hard into it and rubbed it really deeply. I actually believed that she was doing it on purpose to try and cause me grief. Oh and it killed. I remember being hit in the face with a soccerball once and it didn't hurt as much as it scared the life out of me. It was like being shot in the head as a little kid. I am always getting my little fingers trapped in doorways. Sometimes when I'm lying nearly asleep I start thinking about the universe and I can get so deep that it feels like I almost have an aneurysm. I can also get that way when I'm having too much fun. My Dad picking on my is a good or bad one. My Dad picking on me in front of my sister's is another one. My mom telling me off in front of guests always gets me hot under the collar. To think they would then proceed to laugh about it would make me forget they were ever born. My mom was run over by a car and had cancer in one of her ovaries. My Dad had a gaul bladder operation. My grandma lives with constant dizziness. I used to enjoy making myself suffer, but now I want it to die forever. Last edited by FFVII - Cloud; Aug 14, 2009 at 12:12 PM. |

Re: Opening Pandora's Box
My worst pain would be when I lost my right eye (still have the eye, but missing the iris and lens, transplanted cornea) back in 1991. I have never felt such headaches. The slightest movement caused intense pain. And if I thought the itching of the 23 stitches in my eyeball from the transplanted cornea was bad, to attempt to even lightly rub the eye to alleviate the itch resulted in lightning bolts of pain.
Oh boy, it was more fun than repeated kicks to the groin. |

Re: Opening Pandora's Box
My sister had a boyfriend who had an aneurysm while riding with her on his bike. Watching himtrnaform in hospital was terrifying and it really shook up our family. My mom watched her father breathe his last breathe after cancer took him. My grampa on my Dad's side survived a heart attack twice. He mentioned seeing a light once. I cried for two weeks straight when I first experienced death as a child when my pet dog was put down. My mom nearly had a breakdown because I wouldn't stop crying. I have foreseen all of my family member's death's in the future including my own and that was a repeating dream not long ago. You'd think that after telling someone about it it would change things, but no the dream's still real. I have foreseen terrorists planting a nuclear bomb in our city and destroying it happens in 2020 I think. I saw a UFO hover above me in the sky and neve felt so much horror. When I was young I used to see priests and Nuns chasing after me in the darkness like ghosts. Driving home from peoples places at night there was always a killer following us behind our car. I'm still terrified of poltergeists. I fear animals are in terrible pain when they cry out. Birds worry me too. I don't trust anyone in our town because I believe they might have an aganda against our family or curse(s). My sister is always sick and she spreads it to all of us. She also smokes like a chimney. My mom and grandma don't talk to eachother and it causes me stress. My Dad doesn't approve of me and only talks when he wants something. This ain't the new millenium it's a friggen psychohouse. And I'm trapped. No one will listen and no one cares. the only thing that keeps me going is this forum and the hope that the govt will anounce out against this sort of torment. All I feel that I'm allowed to do is feel like I'm dying. What kind of existance is that?? I don't know, but I'm wrong. There are a few who Do care and wouldn't for the life of me tell anyone who they are. Talking to them is like knocking down the barred entrances that my family and some people put up. It's like high school all over again. ANd high school was a nightmare. Freddy Krugar is after me. Gotta go.

Wow, you really cry for attention don't you? Friendly advice, don't share everything with millions of strangers.
