VLC annoyance/question
Is it possible to set to repeat the file I open with it without going to the playlist every single freaking time?

@ blueMak = there is a setting under preference>playlist that lets you 'repeat all' for any playlist, unfortunately i couldn't find any shortcut for it!,
@comp_ali = i think its top gear too.

Great, it actually seems to work.

I found another solution before reading this post. I picked a "skin" that has a button for this on the main window. But now it is much better with your way since I like the default classic skin.

(I also updated to the newest version 1.0.1 , just in case)

Another question regarding VLC. I know there is an option somewhere, I remember seeing it in a previous version, but I can't locate it now. How can I make it so that when I double click/open a file to be played by VLC and VLC is already open, it plays the new file without also retaining to the "playlist" the file that was playing when I opened the new file?

For example now I am watching video X, I double click on video Y and it starts playing, but when it reaches the end it goes back to play the X file (sorry), and then the Y.

For some reason VLC Won't display the video for DVDs on my OS X Install, but it'll play the audio. Was trying to find the video overlay settings but it won't play ball

does it play if the files are on the computer? (use Fairmount to assist the copy)

otherwise just use OS X's DVD Player app, it's not too bad
