I like to take my time typing so i usually take quite a bit of it to write something

Never had the need to blaze through a twenty page essay lol
My score was a mediocre 21 words per minute

i could do much better if it wasnt gibberish i was typing, and if this keyboard didnt suck ass for typing.

managed to hit 60/4

70/4 so far im better then 172k people... thats just sad.

Used to be around 120, but around 90-100 now as I do less intense typing on a regular basis.

A test I took about last year, I was typing at 94 or 93 with like 1-2 errors.

94 wpm with 0 errors. But I think this test is slightly flawed because it takes me a second or so to get my bearings again whenever i get to the last word and it flashes the new ones.

imo, it's been thoroughly proven that typing tests where the worlds do not flow in a form of a typical sentence with just jumbled up words with random capatilizations and just grammer crap thrown in with no ryhmm or reason will always produce a terrible result compared to that of something being typed out.

Add to the fact that your "copying" rather then typing straight away which also involves a little more work to.

So someone that would score 50 wpm with no errors in that test could possibly get 60-75 words otherwise.

I scored 60 wpm with 2 errors...

I kept getting screwed up when you'd get to the last word and it would jump up with more words following.

With 6 years of computer "typing" which was always referred to "Computer class" which is a freaking joke.... my typical average was around 120 word per minute using an erganomic keyboard and about 80-90 on a standard one.

i can type fast but i dont count how many letters im pushing..i remeber the days typing with one finger and having trouble finding the letters..

Really? thats a weird mix. to get around 95wpm I had to type just under 500 characters per minute. did you get "the" "to" and "here" a lot?

When I was taught typing in a business course 225 characters certainly didn't translate to anything near 97 words per minute. actually nearer 40-45.

I decided to take this specific test and I hate it. I can't decide what exactly I hate but, if it makes any sense, it feels too slow how the highlight moves. I am already reading the next word but the highlight is still on the previous word. I wish there was an option to disable that. It is even worse at the end of the paragraph when it changes page. Meh.
75wpm, 1 mistake, 420characters per min.
I will give it another go later.

If the words actually make sense and form thoughts instead of being gibberish I can get into the 120-140 range. With this kind of test I tend to get 110-120.

55 words per minute for me. Not bad considering the style of test and that I code for a living. Not exactly typcial transciption work. My highschool typing teacher would be proud though.
