For F1 Fans: Brilliant Button clinches title
Jenson Button sealed the drivers' championship with a superb recovery drive at a dramatic Brazilian Grand Prix won by Red Bull's Mark Webber. Brawn's English driver started from 14th but executed a series of spectacular early overtaking moves before finishing the race fifth.
He was already set to win the title when a late puncture dropped main title threat Rubens Barrichello to eighth. Brawn still clinched the constructors' championship in their debut season. ____________ Source: BBC News |

Ah right, I thought you were. I felt it was good to see him win, but his form in the last half of the season was quite disappointing really.

Re: For F1 Fans: Brilliant Button clinches title
Button had a monster start to the season, when Brawn were the top dog of the "diffuser gang".
When the other teams failed to get the double decker diffuser banned, they had to develop their own. Red Bull seem to have been the stars of later in the season, but Vettel joined Button in a poor qualifying for this race. With Barrichello on Pole, it was looking good for the championship to go to a nail-biting decider in the final race, but with Webber having the speed and stopping a lap or two after Barrichello, that was one place lost, not sure where the other went, until the puncture added insult to injury. Button had a good drive, possibly even a champion's drive to get into some points, but not actually enough if Barrichello hadn't been pipped by drivers on better strategies. The fight at the final race, is for Driver 2nd between Vettel and Barrichello, and team 3rd between McLaren & Ferrari. Brawn will surely be hoping to make it a driver 1-2 in the championship.
