All Nighters

I'm curious, how many of you here at DH Pull all nighters? Because i'm free on a tuesday and wednesday with no college i usually pull an all nighter on a tuesday because i'm completely free wednesday. On a tuesday i've usually got a driving lesson so i sleep monday night.

I can certainly think of better methods than attempting to learn jQuery programming to stay awake though, Maybe PHP or Javascript instead

I've done it once, don't really see a point, since they're counterproductive to remembering stuff for work-related things, and I have to down a cup of coffee every 30 minutes to remain functional.

My regular schedule has me in bed by 10pm every day so that I can make it to the gym at 6am.

I used to do it when I was in uni but i dont see the need anymore so am usually asleep by 10pm nowadays

I don't sleep much myself, maybe 3 hours a day.

Depends on my work schedule, but I usually don't sleep very much on the weekends - working in retail and club photography doesn't really mix too well

I stay up late all the time, but no way will I ever pull all nighters. I'd rather not eff up my sleep schedule when not needed.

Unless I have a very good reason to be up early next day or I have a huge day ahead of me, I don't sleep at the earliest before 4am, more often at about 0630-0700. Even then I only manage to sleep about 4 hours a 24H period with a rare nap in the evening some times. I have tried many times to change it but I can't. Even when I had school or work during the day, I would find myself struggling even after weeks to sleep during the night.
I do enjoy the night more, but it is bad for you (read about an increased cancer risk last year) and if you don't have to, you should avoid staying up all night.

I rarely stay up ALL night, usually if I am getting pwned by assignments all due the next day etc...apart from that or the odd LAN I don't have a reason to be up late.

I don't know how people function on 3-4 hours sleep (zardon/bluemak.....)

Went to bed at about 6 last night because the internets went quiet and was having problems getting Far Cry 2 to launch. I'mma pull one tonight probably since i've got the most boring tutor in the world to put me to sleep at college lol

Lol i second that, I've learnt many a thing through sleepless nights; Photoshop, Cinema4D, Illustrator, Flash, Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS, Even some slightly more bizarre things like how to break up the human outline in darkness for stealth which was last night's sleepless topic lol.

@ Zardon at least your sleepless nights are spent productively doing something the last time i was up all night I was gaming my a** off on COD 4 which doesn't count as being productive

I'm in the same boat, sort of, active mind and all, I also have a gynourmous back injury that has pretty much lead me to not be able to sleep so yeah.

I am subject to be up day or night, or in between.

I love this community though, I consider most everyone to be a friend etc.

I don't have content to post though Z, just lots of thoughts ha

Well to make a long story short, I'm a vet from the navy that ended up in theatre, and was on the wrong end of a Marine and a Humvee, that threw me about 30-40 Feet, and I ended up waking up in Rammstein, with 4 Spinal fractures, The ligmanent that binds that back shredded in 15 places, and Traction for about 3 months, and then I had physical therapy for about the next year, and then I ended up medically discharged. It's wonderful.

@ Falstaff, cuz I'm sure he's curious I was an aviation electronics Tech (AT)

Anyhow. So Now I finally got back into school and am trying to get my bachelors for Info Sys Mgmt.

Being unable to sleep sucks, been wide awake all night. Came down here at about 4am (5.35am here atm) after lying in bed for about 3 hours not being able to sleep

I don't do all-nighters. I might be up till 0500 or something (on weekends) but eventually I will go to bed. Seldom I do 32 hours straight.

Bad thing is that I'm almost always kinda tired these days, but that might be due to my job and the fact that I'm more of a evening/night person than an early morning person. My job requires me to get up at 0530 and that just doesn't go well with me.

I will stay up late, because that's when I get active but I have to get up (too) early..
