GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
I find this really sad, Gm pulls a perfectly good car from the hands of owners due to "unseen reasons", an old article but pretty plain and telling about how this world works.

Re: GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
Yeah it's an old story..... they were "told" to pull the plug by big oil because the car actually worked and people liked it. GM actually took all those cars back and crushed them for no good reason and all the documentation was also destroyed so they couldn't be built again.......

Re: GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
Yes, it's a sad old story... By the way, many people don't know that electric cars were very popular back in 1920's and maybe actually had a chance of beating petrol fueled cars.
However, I'm not sure that electric cars are as environmentally friendly as people usually think. All that electric power must also come from somewhere. We would also have more electromagnetic pollution etc. |

Re: GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
Its all about taking from the environment sustainably, the BEST technology i have ever heard of is : i cant really remember it all that well but hydrogen is extracted from water and then used as a fuel in cars, the only exhaust "fumes" are water vapor. I heard of a solar powered cell that can manage to do that chemical reaction of extracting the hydrogen, but that cell is expensive and there aren't a lot of hydrogen cars. so too bad i guess

Re: GM Pulls Plug On Electric Car
sigh.. the first car that royally kicked ass
people claim 0 conspiracy theory and that it was just a shitty car.. when all the facts state that the battery life, the recharge period, the 0 break downs, the lack of having to maintain anything really, the sheer power the car had, the extremely fast acceleration and the works BACK IN 1998, over 11 years ago now, and the producer of the very battery has been restricted by law from producing comparible batteries designed for the same purpose... He had gone on record many years ago stating he had already developed battery technology to double-triple the distance acheiveable and shorten the recharging period, and he also had plans in place to increase that again by a factor of 3 or 4 demonstrating small style batteries powering large objects for ages. We have the technology, It's universal and works round the world under ALL conditions. That's a fact. Yet everyone insists on beleiving a lie and consistantly taking it up the rear.
