Happy thanksgiving to all our american brothers

Just wanted to wish all our american based community a very happy thanksgiving. We obviously don't really celebrate it in the UK or Ireland but I lived in the USA for a while and I know how important it is to you guys.

Have a good holiday and hope you all get some good food (and beers!).

Hopefully you all are enjoying what is left of your turkey day.

The company I work for supports US clients so I had today off too but not for turkey since we had our turkey day weeks ago. I spent most of the day keeping my teething 7 month old son entertained, which was an experience to say the least however I am ALWAYS thankful for who and what I have.

May your bellies be full, your waistband flexible and the Pepto-Bismol flow like pink, foul tasting wine.

Thanksgiving is the one time of the year I wish I were American...stuffed full of turkey and then follow it up with Black Friday shopping the next day. It must be heaven

Why thank you. Went to visit some relatives in the Santa Rosa, CA area. A bit cooler than in Sacramento, which was nice.

Someone tried getting into an argument of Mac vs. PC with me, and I just said, "Yeah, I'm not getting into this pointless debate."

black friday is a nightmare while i was standing in line at 4:00am this morning to get what i want which i had to wait til 5:00am to get in the place.. there was a big long line people camping out... a big fight broke out a few feet from me because a guy decides to try to cut in line.. punches were fly i saw the one that try to cut in line get rushed by 4 people beating him to the grown..then others cousin out people about to fight.. people trying to take stuff out your cart because what you have they cant get it because its gone.. it was just a big nightmare.. a friend of mine bought a bike for her son which we had to pay for every thing then had to drive the car around the back of the store to pic up the bike... we were stuck in line for anther hour i didnt get home til 7:00am then had to go to work with out any sleep...

The line cutter got what he deserved!

What did you wait in line to buy? How much did you save? Where was this?

The longest I waited in line was about 90 minutes at cashes in Best Buy on Boxing Day (day after X-mas in Canada and UK) and this was at the end of the night when the store had been nearly wiped. Last year I went right in the morning, walked in, got my monitor and out in 5 minutes. That's the advantage of Boxing Day over Black Friday, it's so freakin' cold out by the end of December that most people won't wait in long lines
