I'm on 20 Mbps. The download speed is as advertised.

It's about four times faster than my previous internet connection. However, I did not have any bandwifth cap before and I'm now capped at 100 GB per month. I'm seriously thinking of upgrading to the next package which is 40 Mbps with 175 GB per month to increase the cap. I don't care about the speed, I just want a cheap connection with no cap or a very large cap.

I don't subscribe to cable tv. I bought an indoor antenna. I get three analog tv channels and two digital 1080i channels. It's enough to get the news and a few local shows. Getting HD tv for free is nice.

Tethering my laptop to my phone. This is the current speed of where I'm at on my Verizon 3G network. This is below average. My average is 1Mbps and my high is just shy of 2Mbps.

Are you sure? :P One thing I would say is that those stats are somewhat self-selecting - only people who care use speedtest.net, and people who care are more likely to have good internet, therefore speedtest's averages are probably artificially high.

What that doesn't say is how inconsistent it is. For VOIP or online gaming, it's totally unusable. And then there's this...

It gives me 1 mbps for first 6 GB!!!!!...then i am about 89% faster than indians!!!!!! LOL!!!
And then it gives me a 512kbps speed!!!

Yeah..... Verizon went totally wireless and "sold" the landline business to Frontier. I actually think it's a front and Verizon is still in charge.
