Re: Britain is colder than Canada...

Was -18 last night. And I work nights. Outside. Brr.

As for FWD, it's garbage. It's also deceptive. FWD means right-front wheel drive. Lift that right-front wheel off the ground; let's see how far you get. Nowhere. One drive wheel. The left-front does nothing. And my damned right-front is always leaving the road. Such bullshit.

Disagree... in BMW there is button called DTC when driving on snow press that and you are all good for snow driving... I know

Every surface in Leeds seems to be coated in a 3" thick sheet of polished, solid ice. You take your life in your hands when you pop round the shops for some crisps

However, according to the forecast, Friday is set to be a balmy 6°c. My speedos and suntan oil are on standby.

Re: Britain is colder than Canada...

As it is now... We started to get a slight indication of the Thaw on saturday due to the light rain through most of the day.

But were short lived due to the temps fell -5/7 degrees.. (My car registered -7 but im not sure how accurate it is) which made the rain freeze...

Even today its still in the - figures and no sign of a thaw..And tonights Forcast could be -8 tonight...

I can see me being off work for the rest of this week...

Re: Britain is colder than Canada...

17 inches of snow two weeks ago, another 4 five days ago and another 6-10 tonight. Would be nice if I lived where I could ski or snowboard to enjoy it at least but this sucks.

Edit: I have to say that it's better then -60 out though. I'll take the snow over the brutal cold any day.

Airports here in Canada are used to snowy conditions to, you might get a few flights delayed but other than that its usually all good. We've received about 3 or four feet of snow here in Saskatoon so far.

o.O

you sure about that?

I was just up there last on monday.. and there is at MOST.... probably a foot and a half if not 2....

and i think that is in the high spots..

obviously not considering the snow that's been purposely piled up.. but anywhere that the snow hasn't been touched isn't all that deep, excluding the snow banks or sharp low spots like ditches....
