Re: Beer fans amongst us?
I drank beer from the age 10 till I was about 22, and then switched to Jack Daniels.
I prefer YEBISU beer, from Japan ![]() Yebisu is a beer produced by the Sapporo Brewery. It is one of Japan's oldest brands, first being brewed in Tokyo in 1890 by teh Japan Beer Brewery Company. Through a complicated set of mergers and divisions, the brand was acquired and eventually retained by the modern day Sapporo Brewery. The brand lay dormant during the post WWII era, being resurrected in 1971. It has been brewed continuously ever since. Yebisu (pronounced Ebisu) comes in two main varieties: Yebisu (Premium), a Dortmunder/export lager and Yebisu Black, A Euro dark lager. There are also occasional special varieties that are limited in distribution area and time. As of April 2007, there is a green-label "The Hop" variety. The modern day Yebisu is positioned as Sapporo's "luxury" beer label. Sapporo describes it as a beer brand with "a touch of class". It is a 100% malt beer The Pilgrim knows you'll enjoy!

Re: Beer fans amongst us?
I've quit drinking but before I did, I started off with South Africa's Carling Black Label, a lager, then moved over to Namibia's Windhoek, a beer that tastes just like the dutch Amstel which I drank as well. When I moved back to Canada I started drinking Great Western and Kokanee. Now I just drink red wine occasionally with a meal. I used to drink SA's Four Cousin's wine heavily as well when I was in Botswana.

Re: Beer fans amongst us?
When I used to drink often, that is a couple of times per week, I would drink Foster's or Bud, or Amstel, or Heineken.
Now...I drink an alcoholic drink every Season and I usually don't care what it is, it just happens to be Amstel.

Re: Beer fans amongst us?
I don't mean to be a party pooper, but I just cannot get into beer. I've tried many of the very popular ones (well, popular in the US, anyways), but they all taste the same to me. Not to mention that the taste leaves much to be desired.
Maybe I just haven't tried enough beers?

Saw a guy with this shirt message: "50% human, 50% beer". I'm now looking for this same shirt to wear. I love beer! My favorite:

Re: Beer fans amongst us?
Fosters was £10 for 24 at Tesco this week. Well, you wouldn't want a warm beer, would ya?
