Any of you watching the new TV series "The Event"? There's been two episodes so far.

I must say I'm not a big fan of all the flashbacks used. It gets annoying.

Apart from that, I'm hooked. I'm really curious to learn the secrets in the story. I'm guessing it will take many episodes until we learn the truth about what is really going on.

A word of advice, don't read the wikipedia page of the show. It's full of spoilers.

I've only watched the first episode and it does look good. I agree the flashbacks are annoying and I fear they are to slow to reveal what the hell is going on, but other then that, it looks promising.

I don't look at them as flashbacks but disjointed storytelling, much like Pulp Fiction. I've only watched the first episode and it didn't bother me there, but I could see if they continue to do so for the remainder of the season it could get that way.

Unfortunately, much like Flash Forward, I don't see the show lasting for one simple reason: the story doesn't lend itself to an ongoing series for years and years. It would probably work better as a mini-series or one season show.

From what I got from the commercials.

There is a plane, a black guy, and everyone seems to have the Max Payne constipation look going on from over acting to make up for the inability to act.


Maybe I'll give the Lostrubicon24 a try, right in between scratching my ass and not being able to sleep because I'm trying to convince myself I don't have to piss so I don't have to walk to the bathroom.

Speaking of Flashforward, was it even finished properly? I haven't seen the rest of the episodes and really don't want to, if the story isn't finished properly.
