Yeah still around. Had to drive to Lexington, KY yesterday for work. Which that trip pretty much was a kill buzz for my Holiday weekend. I seem to visit quite a bit on my phone so doing a detailed reply seems daunting.

BTW, the only social crap I'm on is FB and the only reason is so I can communicate w/ a few close friends who moved. I have my info on that locked down hardcore. If I'm not socializing or associating w/ you now there is probably a good reason for it.

Yeah...I'm working about 40 minutes from home these days. It's slightly unpleasant.

But money is money!

As for the whole fakebook thing...I've had to manually change my settings on there twice to not display my location, age, etc., much less myself doing something stupid like putting your phone # or address on there. I can't believe people were "shocked" when they started getting like a thousand prank calls after fakebook did that huge data update and leaked like 290 million phone numbers to the wide-eyed world.

If you don't think you're being watched by sites like these, you probably aren't paranoid.

But they're watching...

actually a document released nearly 3 years ago shows that cia and fbi as well as countless other world organizations have been using any and all social sites like myspace and facebook and etc for data mining EVEN when there are private settings enabled....

I don't doubt it. I think it's weird that fakebook can link so easily with my internet browser...in so many different facets, too. Same as Twitter or TweetDeck or SnapTu or whatever. They always know where you are when you tell them, willingly.

what i miss is the days when the windows sp1/2 beta days when everyone was helping each other by getting the betas out to the public domain .... it brought everyone in the tech minded community together
