Leslie Nielsen, comic actor and Airplane! star, dies
Veteran comic actor Leslie Nielsen, star of Airplane! and The Naked Gun, has died at the age of 84.

He died in hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he was being treated for pneumonia, his agent John S Kelly said.

Canadian-born Nielsen started out as a serious actor but in 1980, his role as a hapless doctor in the disaster spoof film Airplane! made him a comic star.

Him and Benny Hill were my two favourite comedians of my childhood. You can watch him in movies and just feel how good person he is/was. The naked gun movies together with Airplane and a few others were among my favourite comedies and I watched them many times, each time making me laugh and never feeling "old". His performance was the major reason for that.

Robert there is no need to say sorry for the dupe post,It happens to us all every so often..

As for Leslie Nielson,I have not seen any of the Straight acting in his past.But for the Comedy side i always loved the Straight Face he always kept during the Gags through out the films i have seen.

Far better acter than Jim Carey by far imo.
