Pissed Aw crap

My best PIII's mobo just died, it took everything atteched to the system along with it. It killed my brand new GF4, a SB live, a 60 gig and a 20 gig hard drive, a 16/12/40x burner, 512 megs of pc133 ram, and my pIII700 that used to run at 980MHz.

One little flame just shot out from a resistor near the CPU, then the monitor went black. I tried all of the other parts in other computers, but nothing works. The PSU still works fine though.

I don't think so, it wasn't the fault of the manufacturer. I have also had the majority of it for more than 3 years. The mobo is 4 years old, and the other companies are probably going to tell me to talk with the mobo maker. Abit hasn't been good with accepting returns in the past with me, and its especially unlikely that they will accept a OEM product that even has its retail warrenty expired.

I always hated the mobo too, it always gave me trouble. No one should use the Abit SE6. It had increible performance, and once it acctually was set up it almost never crashed, but it constantly required tweaking and adjustments. Sometimes things would randomly malunction, and with a reboot they would work agian. I tried RMAing it (back when it was new when I got it) but the new one had the same problems.

The mobo wasn't accepted, and neither was the PIII, but the cd burner and ram were.

The gainward guys are never there, I need to call really early in the morning. I have another mobo and a pIII933. (that only overclocks to 960! My 700 was faster than that) If I can get the GF4 accepted I'll have almost the same computer.

Huh? I said I don't have insurance. What do you mean by that? My dad doesn't have insurance either. Except for his trucks, but only because its a law to have insurance.

Nevermind, I just knew that someoen thought that you were older. And I knew you were younger. And being that you are the age that you are you wouldn't have your own insurance. That's all that it is. I was not insulting anyone. I was just pointing out that you are younger and not living on your own. Just forget it, I didn't word it right to begin with so now I sound like a moron.

Anyway, sorry about your misfortune craig588, that's the worst feeling. I've never had a MB catch on fire- but I've come close to wrecking some expensive parts. It suxs bad, no matter what. Live and learn.
