Re: Gmail warning losing account scam?

LOL! This ranks right up there with the WoW/Blizzard ones (yes, that's plural) I get every f**king day.

BTW, did you notice how stupid they were? They used a gmail.com account. Regardless of whether you get your email forwarded from them to another account Google can trace the route back to the sender/receiver. Idiots just pointed an arrow right to their own door.

Do yourself a favour, Robert, and send that to Googles fraud/scam line: abuse@gmail.com . You can also post to their "Suspicious Messages and Scams" forum too.

A friend of mine gets those, though I don't think it's anywhere near that regularity. He's never had a WoW account though He has played a lot of MMOs thought, which I'd imagine is why he gets scamming e-mails for WoW...

As for the topic at hand, yeah, no company ever asks for your password or, at the very least, the whole password. Random characters, yes, but never the whole thing.
Always look for spelling errors (immportant, for example) and check links/e-mail addresses. information.info43 is a no-no. contactgmail.mywebsite.com... yeah, they could do better (random example).
