Mobile Phone Forum Moderator Wanted

If anyone has the desire to moderate a new forum section dedicated to Mobile phones, android, iOS etc. Then post below why your interested and what you bring to the table.

Candidates should have knowledge of mobile phones durr, by this I mean a knowledge of the market, the products what's coming up, first hand experience with at least some of the latest models.

Duties would include:

Keeping the forum spammer free
Engaging members into discussion on topics i.e. creating threads and instigating discussion on news or developments.
Be able to provide support to members on phone issues etc.

As for the mod position, anyone who knows at least a thing or two about the Android OS versions, like how to run additional code on it, knows about the iphone OS as well as Blackberry, etc. should consider making themselves available.

Anyone who knows the inner workings of smartphones well enough to solve the basic issues most people would come across should also consider making themselves available.

Of course, this is all for those that truly want to do it!

thats the most important quality in the end.

i would apply, but for the sake of impartiality i'd prob have to change my sig.... and that just sounds like a hassle

what "basics" of the inner workings are you supposed to know just out of interest ?
"hmm, sim isnt recognised. *remove sim card. wipe shiny bit of sim card with thumb. replace sim card* bingo " < that do it ?

hehe... THAT and things like...

methods to limit battery consumption in these devices.

how to tether a phone to a computer to allow the computer to use the phone's internet connection.

how to set up a phone to run as a removable drive.. etc...

basic stuff yet they are areas for potential frustration for the novice.

now that i have a G2x, ill be delving into this sort of thing myself, but as it stands right now, this is much too far from my specialty so i need a bit of time before i can even give advice.

Well whoever takes the job on am sure he will get lots of help from the HH community.. i would be glad to help out where i can but the only smart phone i have ever used is a BB 9700 my current phone: things i can help with
1. reinstalling the OS
2. connecting it to the PC simple but i had some minor issues
3. Installing games from your PC

hay it helps kill time when you are bored
