new and confused
i am new to this and am somewhat technologically inept,lol.i was recently at a best buy store where they sold me a wd essentials 3T external hard drive to download movies onto and then plug&play from an xbox 360 because i do not own a computer. The xbox will not recognize the hard drive. what should i do"

So, even if you were to get that hard drive recognized by the 360, if you're purpose is to view HD content, you're likely going to be hitting your head against a wall as most video content, e.g. movies, that come in HD are going to exceed the 4 GB limit of FAT32. |

+1 to everything that Dyre said (I would +rep you Dyre but I'm not allowed).
If you want to watch DVD-quality movies, though, it would be fine. Furthermore, you'd be able to store upwards of 4000 DVD-quality movies...
