Been wearing glasses all my life. Only time it was a problem was when I was dancing, because you can't go with glasses on stage. Either I would not see a thing (bad for finding your partner) or I'd spend an hour trying to put contacts into my eyes.

I used to play basketball wearing glasses. They make straps to secure them to keep them in place. Should work for dancing, too, I would think.

In that particular dance group is was also a matter of image. Dancers look better without glasses. I did dance with another group (an older and even more hobbyist group) that had no problem with glasses.

Have been wearing glasses for 3 years, in the beginning I thought it was very ugly to wear them. As time passed by, I found that glasses are becoming some kind of fashionable accessories to me. I have purchased many pairs of glasses in different styles and colors from Zenni Optical and Eyebuydirect to match my outfits.

if you need glasses you need them ....... when i was 12 i was told by eye specialists that i would need glasses by the time i was 16 .... i'm almost 42 and i have perfect vision .... he should be on tv predicting the weather

I wear contact lenses because I don't like wearing glasses, so save them just for when I'm watching TV in bed. Funny though because my job is making glasses, or "glazing" them, as it's known. Pretty easy, but it's good to know people will always need specs so I'll always have a job. YUH!

As mentioned earlier in this thread, I had to get some new glasses a couple months ago before I had to get my drivers license renewed. There was a coupon for the exam and 2 pair of glasses.

The pair I prefer gave the guy some trouble and he broke something on the frame trying to install the lenses. So, I had to wait nearly two weeks to get that pair.

I did, finally, get them and, as stated, I really wanted to be wearing this particular pair for Non-working hours. But, whenever I would put them on, I'd get eye strain really fast.

I finally took that pair back and asked them to check the prescription. Yep! the prescription was wrong. I don't know how they mixed them up, but, apparently someone else got mine. They did correct the pair and I was able to get them the next day.

Well, just yesterday afternoon I had to take that same pair back again because one of the lenses was about to pop out of the frame.

I'm just hoping that this isn't going to be a continuing problem. I guess if it is, they'll have to provide all new frames.

I don't wear glasses but i do find myself struggling to read certain things and pulling out a magnifying loop to continue reading. On top of that, who are these Mac using magazine layout designers that pick the shittiest, small yellow barf colour fonts against shiny fluorescent purple mauve psychedelic background colours????????????? Jeez...

I don't wear glasses, but sometime ago I really wanted to get the ones with no power just so that people in the corporate world or whatever, could take me more seriously. But my girlfriend just talked me out of it.
