Got one the the typical, "soldier with lots of $$$ needs top get it home" scam emails today. The details aren't important, but THIS is how it was 'signed' at the end:

I got one the other day that included the name of the company that I make my car payments to. EXCEPT, it also included "UK" in the name.

FTR, my auto loan company does NOT do business in the UK.

If your question is directed to me, yes, I run a full check once per week and it comes up clean every time. What, I think, is the problem is the use of free emails e.g. Gmail, Yahoo, and the like. These guys, in order to make any money, are too keen to sell addresses. And, don't forget the social networks, too. Just too many easy ways to get personal info these days.

Yeah, the only ones I get, and I get a LOT of them, come through my hotmail account.

I don't get them in my "private"/ISP account.

Gmail spam filter is great i never get any spam messages but yahoo and live mails are always full of spam messages.

live mail is pretty good as well. spam gets dumped nicely in my spam filter.. except for the ones I allow(ed) to be put in my normal inbox...
