DriverHeaven Screen Saver
Way back in the day when I used to visit this site when it was still DriverHeaven there was a screen saver called "tranquility". I was still able to find that but was curious if there have been any updated ones since then.

Sorry Nya' the sreensaver called tranquility Died many years ago.And it were to celebrate DH's 1st anniversery back in 2003.

No problem...

It were removed from HH's Severs several years ago as there were no support,And if i remember correctly the code (with it being so old now) will not work on modern day tech..IE windows Vista/7..

I had the screensaver myself back then when i were on Win XP..

far as i recall the screensaver was created by the guy that made open GL benchmark that was right in tune with competing with 3DMark at the time.... showing off the power and capabilities of open gl and how well it performs similar tasks.

The guy was even working on a new version with fighter jets and everything in good detail....

but then it all disappeared... hopefully getting a great job in the industry... although it's unfortunate that he never completed the 2nd opengl benchmark.

I actually managed to track down both the Tranquility and Snowball screensavers haha, nostalgia!



P.S. They work perfectly fine on Windows 7.

Yeah if you use the way back machine or whatever it has this entire website all the way back to 2002 cached, you can get files and basically anything that was on here.

Yes, you're correct.

It was done by Paolo "Bustard" Martella. He was the creator of GL Excess. I loved running that program. It's still available here...
