Cool! Going to see the Stones & Friends for SARS

Well I can't believe it.....last night @ 11:30 PM I get this phone call asking me if I want to go to TO to see the Stones and the SARS concert......I said hell ya I wanna go but I have to work all week ....... I got to work today and this issue was just eating my alive......I was gonna crack since Friday was going to be my last day at that job anyway......what to do!!!!!!

At about 20 after 9:00, only 20 minutes after starting to work, I went up to the bosses office to see if I could smoooooze my way outta work without burning any bridges since the YMCA Enterprise Centre had been so important to me and my returning to the workforce on a full time basis....(long story)

EDIT: THANKS TO EVERYONE @ WORK ( Mr Stone, Jen ( I will try to get Def Lepard tickets), Ayo, Margo, Lisa, Cory, Kathleen, Anthony, Cleo, Rifs, and yes even Cindy )

When I got to the bosses office she was on the phone so I had to wait to speak with her....i was pacing the hallway for about 20 min before she finally got off the phone....

Since I was leaving Friday and had a week off between then and my new job, I asked permission to leave a week early to see this concert.....when she said "Sure don't pass on this opportunity" I just about chit myself....so in return I offered to work 3 days next week after I return from the concert.....

So this is my last post before hitting th road for Toronto....it's gonna be a doobie filled 17 hour drive from hell, but I have no doubt being at a concert with 500,000 + people is gonna be a serious rush......So I am gonna take my digital camera and try and capture as much of the trip as possible and hope to find somewhere to upload a few pics for everyone here that can't attend the show.....

hehehe ya that was a nice thought but the chances of actually running into someone in that crowd woulds have been next to impossible.... AC/DC and the Guess Who were my 2 favorites since I am not really a Stones fan...... 500,000 people all in one place was very cool..... could not take my digital camera since they werer gonna toss it in the garbage if they found it.....

Also this weekend our city hosts this thing called caribana (now called carnival i think) which is a HUGE celebration of caribian ppl. for sure theres a few gunshots going off and ur gonna see cadillac escaldes galore. lol ive been afraid to go but i think ill go check it out if i got time this week. really busy weekend for toronto! come on down

Yes AC/DC stole the show in many peoples opinions.... they were the highlight for me.....and yes Brian sounded great.....I can't imagine trying to sing their stuff without loosing more than just a voice.....testicles must be in a vice to sound like that all the time......

Here is my pecking order for the show:

1: AC/DC
2: Guess Who
3: Stones
4: Rush
5: Isley Bros

It was also nice to see Jeff Healey play a tune with Sass Jordan, Blue Rodeo were good but dry as always to watch..... Tea Party were ok..... I prefer their studio work......The Flaming Lips were different but good band.....and even though I will "DENY" this at any moment in the future that Justin TimberFlake was not badd....his band was really tight, just not my thing

Had 3 disposible camera's but could only get crowd shot's being vertically challanged as I am......

I love Sass ..

On Timberflake .. mine neither.

Have a bud who works with Blue Rodeo ...
I'm not a tea party fan ...
