I listen to a very wide range of music, and like most people there are several songs that always remind me of something that happened or didn't happen in my life........so in my case the list would be to extensive....

I love the song "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. The metal group Manowar can pretty much get me going in any situation, this is by far one of my favorite bands of all time. Anyone who likes early 90's metal and songs about warriors and battle should give them a listen. Another piece of music that really gets my spirits going is the entire musical score from the movie "Conan The Barbarian." In my opinion, it is one of the best and most complete musical compilations that I have ever heard.

Pro-pain...any of their songs. If you like harcore punk metal, that isn't so 80's with a bit of thrash thrown in for fun w/ some New York attitude you'll love em!

There is one song that I will always hold above all others.
I went through a very bad time about 12 years ago. Lost a little boy, my first marriage ended. And I was like an empty shell. I would go to work, come home to an empty dark apartment, and vegetate. I offend thought about....ending it all Then one day I was watching MTV or V-H1 I don't remember. And a REM song came on, called "Everybody hurts" And man that one video I don't know how to put it But it did something to me. Something good. I set there and I not only heard the lyrics but I felt them. And I broke down and let it all out..........For the first time. It was like someone opened the flood gates. And silly as it may sound after that I felt better, And started living again. I'm now married to a good woman and I have two beautiful children.

Yeah happy endings are good !
I grew up listening to alot of rock from the 70s, so ive alot of tracks from that era I love, but probably anything by Queen. Talented bunch of musicans/song writers. I liked Sail Away Sweet sister that had alot of meaning for me. |

Re: Music that moves you?
My list, if written to completion, would be endless, so I'll just write the first few songs that come to my head:
Quote:
I generally like all types of music, but my favorite genres are: New Age, Classical, Alternative, Metal Quote:
Semisonic - Secret Smile Semisonic - Closing Time Smashing Pumpkins - Ava Adore Jewel - Barcelona Quote:
Linkin Park - My December Cranberries - Linger Cranberries - Dreams Mandalay - Beautiful Enya - Hope Has a Place Enya - Fallen Embers I should emphasize that my taste in music is by no means limited to the songs I listed above. These are just the first that came to mind.

Queen is classic.
I think overall, my favourite band is Supertramp, but there are so many close calls, I don't think I have one, it really depends on the day/mood. I pretty much never like Country music, ever, or rap, other than that, there is usually some point when I will like something. (Generally I much prefer Classic Rock, and some new stuff, like Collective Soul, etc.)
