What is your fav music?

I listen to a very wide range of music, and like most people there are several songs that always remind me of something that happened or didn't happen in my life........so in my case the list would be to extensive....

I love the song "Bring Me To Life" by Evanescence. The metal group Manowar can pretty much get me going in any situation, this is by far one of my favorite bands of all time. Anyone who likes early 90's metal and songs about warriors and battle should give them a listen. Another piece of music that really gets my spirits going is the entire musical score from the movie "Conan The Barbarian." In my opinion, it is one of the best and most complete musical compilations that I have ever heard.

I especially like Electro Dance, perhaps because I am trying to think how would it "the source" of that look
Also, in-game music from SNES games is very nice.

Vengeance is on a distinguished road

There is one song that I will always hold above all others.
I went through a very bad time about 12 years ago.
Lost a little boy, my first marriage ended.
And I was like an empty shell.
I would go to work, come home to an empty dark apartment, and vegetate.
I offend thought about....ending it all
Then one day I was watching MTV or V-H1 I don't remember.
And a REM song came on, called "Everybody hurts"
And man that one video I don't know how to put it
But it did something to me. Something good.
I set there and I not only heard the lyrics but I felt them.
And I broke down and let it all out..........For the first time.
It was like someone opened the flood gates.
And silly as it may sound after that I felt better, And started living again.
I'm now married to a good woman and I have two beautiful children.

Yeah happy endings are good !

I grew up listening to alot of rock from the 70s, so ive alot of tracks from that era I love, but probably anything by Queen. Talented bunch of musicans/song writers. I liked Sail Away Sweet sister that had alot of meaning for me.

Re: Music that moves you?

My list, if written to completion, would be endless, so I'll just write the first few songs that come to my head:

I generally like all types of music, but my favorite genres are: New Age, Classical, Alternative, Metal

Quote:

Mandalay - This Life
Semisonic - Secret Smile
Semisonic - Closing Time
Smashing Pumpkins - Ava Adore
Jewel - Barcelona

Quote:

Jewel - Standing Still
Linkin Park - My December
Cranberries - Linger
Cranberries - Dreams
Mandalay - Beautiful
Enya - Hope Has a Place
Enya - Fallen Embers

I should emphasize that my taste in music is by no means limited to the songs I listed above. These are just the first that came to mind.

when i was growing up, it was quite uncool to like Queen, due to the campness of Freddie, but I never really dwelt on that. They just made some great music and were very original, unique and amazingly good live. Also anyone who likes rock guitar just has to like them, Brian May was one of the most original guitar players of his time, his harmonic playing and soloing around the chords, switching between speakers on stereo was pretty groundbreaking in the 70s...........

Queen is classic.

I think overall, my favourite band is Supertramp, but there are so many close calls, I don't think I have one, it really depends on the day/mood.

I pretty much never like Country music, ever, or rap, other than that, there is usually some point when I will like something.

(Generally I much prefer Classic Rock, and some new stuff, like Collective Soul, etc.)

but you name one rock star who were great at rock make a duo with a opera singer and turn there voice round to opera with a mix like he did (barcelona)

one of the multi talanted great voices of all time.to me he can not be beat for his type of rock.

tallent & voice he had is recognized round the world thoughout.

he is what i'd call a legend of rock

Johny you got Queen 1 ... if not give it a try some of the guitar work on that album was the best they did ie Liar , Great King Rat , Jesus ... the lyrics might be dodgy now ... but when the album first came out it was album of the week ... when albums from both Bowie and Zepplin was released in the same week
