What's your favorite console joypad?

Yo guys i was bored... well wut is it.

Nothing in my opinion can test the Sega genesis 6 button or saturn 6 button controller. it was jus plain amazing for arcade based games.

but sony's dual shock fits right in ur hand. xbox's controlelr is derived from dreamcast's HORRBILE controller and having those black and white buttons on it blows!

it is amazing man... jus everything is analog. one way i would improve it though is change all the l and r buttons like the gamecubes... they rock. ah damn forgot to add game cube LOL mod plz take out atari and change it to Gamecube

The PS2 pad, its awsome, every button is right where it feels like it should be.

Whats so bad about the DC controller? its not bad at all.

it had issues... not very durable either. it was too much of a change for sega. no x and y which it always had.

im a ps2 fan, but i have to say they did rip off some of their design from nintendo with the L and R. actually sony and nintendo were devolping another system then sony left and went to make the psx (which originally had DVD support!) and had like a cube logo similar to the one they have on their page right now,. i read it in a mag and saw pics. and the black psx which could create games

Maybe you just got unlucky. I had DOA2SE and SC torunaments with my controllers and they were thrown and had various liquieds spilled on them and they still worked fine.

(I'll own anyone in DOA2SE!!!)

no there is an issue i read. if u press anything while the DC boots up it'll screw up (i.e. sonic will keep moving left or something) its retarded

and btw sonic the hedgehog owns all no one can TOUCH HIM best character ever!

Since I converted from CONsoles to PC's, I haven't really messed with the newer CONsoles. But I'd have to go the the Sony DualShock 2. Truth be told, I never really messed with the DS2 much, but it's the closest to the original DualShock which I grew to LOVE and automatically assume that DualShock 2 is even better.

...the original DualShock wasn't and option in the poll.....

my choice is psx due to game support,very comfortable pads.good performance from it when it were a couple of years old,due to new programing techniques for it started to push it harder.

previously were sega megdrive(uk) game pad had exellent arcade feal to it and as for games like sonic the hedgehog!

I've gotten used to my sony dualpad, but the xbox controller takes the cake hands down. Well not the NORMAL Xbox controller, that sucks a fat one. The X-Box Small controller.

I also prefer the PS2 DualShock2 controller but the XBox S controller is pretty good too.

That happens with like ALL new consoles if they use an analog system.. when the console boots up, the position the control is in is the "neutral position" and it's recorded.. when a button is pressed when turning it on (I.E: pressing left) the system registers that as neutral position, generally the console comes with a way to recalibrate without resetting.. but meh, you'd know that if you read your manuals!

i liked the SNES pads.... was perfect for what was avaible...

I've played with dozens of PS1/2 pads.... there not bad at alll

BEST pad ever is when i picked up an xbox pad and jumped into a few games..... damn, aside from being the first pad made my MS, it's pretty good.... a few revisions will make sure it stays on top for me.... (the right joystick needs to be a little rounded so it doesn't gouge my thumb when i get heavy into the game)

i cant stand the black and white buttons, its retarded. controller S is better but still retarded god. and its pretty much like the dreamcast controller which i dont like.

if id improve the PS2 controller id make the L and R buttons like gamecube's. the buttons are too flat to be pressure sensitive (even though it works)

Ouch, I hate the GCs spring loaded triggers. Not bad, but not as good as the dualshocks' IMO, especially in fast paced games.
