The Florida Marlin's manager said today:

"He's a smart cookie. He knows how to pitch,'' Florida manager Jack McKeon said. "He doesn't get you out, he makes you get yourself out.''

The Marlins were defeated today, 8-0 by Maddux, 4 other pitchers, and the Braves.

I'm sure it does help that he's on a team that has set another Major League record by winning their division for the 12th time in a row.
