Oh man these things rock!
I just got dual 200 watt subs and they add so much to my music. I always used to think subs were for low rider cars and the dumb kids that drive them, but now I see how great they can be. Now I've got 3 amps routing sound to my various speakers. (9 in total)
So, can anyone reccomend some great songs that will really let me experiance them? Please no rap or pop, I can't stand it. I'm open to pretty much anything else: rock, classical, country, trance, whatever. EDIT: for those interested I have 4 polk audio studio monitors, 3 sherwood somethings (I forgot exactly what, but they are good) and my 2 new design acoustics DA-800s. The amps are 2 harmon kardons and a yamaha. (Can't remember the exact specs on em, but they are great) I'm not rich or anything, most of this stuff is hand me downs from one of my friends who is VERY rich. Well, when you drive a stand cab Ford ranger like me you have to improvise and make yourslef truck wedges that hold 2 6.5" woofers a piece. But I got 4 of them buggers. Ever since I got subs 3 years ago I couldn't ever do without em.

If you want to test out your Subs.... to see if they distort at all...or if you really want to move your car when it's in park.... i got the song for you.... Get Injector from NFS5PU.... (actually creator my be Cold Play....) If you don't have it... i have a 320kbps Mp3 sitting here....... (if i got to purchase anything audio wise... i use this song for testing out the mid/lows(subs))

How about the S&M Metallica album. Nothing like rock and a orchestra to experience sound from all levels.

prodigy - smack my bitch up... is probably the best song to test subs. all other bass heavy songs seem to distort at lower volumes than that song. it's probably the smoothest bass i've ever heard.

Find a song by VAST called 'Blue' I played this in a friend's car with a 2000 watt system (from what he said but it was very powerful from what I could tell) and the bass at the beginning of the song nearly bottomed out his system and was starting to rattle his rearview mirrors.

....Wattage doesn't tell you the loudness.... volume.... nor the theoretical base output...... Why is it that people dwell on wattage?.... I sat beside 10,000 watt liquid nitrogen cooled 18 inch Dual Subs.... and depending were you are..... it's all based on the CF your trying to fill....a car...... well, there isn't ANY reason to pack it full of subs with high wattage ratings...... enless your using it for the tunes when your way outside the car....
