Dungeon Siege Goes Hollywood
A film based on the successful game Dungeon Siege is scheduled for filming in 2004. The movie has a budget in the $50 million range. The press release reports nothing of the story or if the movie is going to be the same style as the game (hack and slash with some RPG elements).
Quote: "Dungeon Siege transcends the video game genre and appeals to mainstream entertainment audiences," said Boll. "Based on the success of House of the Dead (movie by same company -Ed), I believe Dungeon Siege contains major crossover potential because of its unique blend of action and fantasy, on the order of Lord of the Rings." http://www.dungeonsiege.com/index.shtml placed in off topic were not sure to post here or game forum. |
