Jackson to cut Sarumans fall from ROTK!

Just read that a 7 minute scene showing the last conflict between Gandalf and Saruman is to be cut from the final installment of Lord of The Rings...

Christopher Lee ( one of the finest actors...ever!) is said to be disgusted, and I must admit that I can't see how they can manage some of the plot points without showing this scene. (What about the palintir for example?)

There is an online petition here if you want to express your dismay and try to get Jackson to reinclude the missing 7 minutes...

It will probably make it into the Collecters Edition - like the extra 30 mins extra for the 1st movie

I have no doubt that it will Uber, but it is the final showdown between Gandalf and Saruman, its a pivotal moment and should be in the main movie. Good has to be seen to triumph if the movie is too make sense!

I get it. They show you almost all of it, and then you really want to see it end, so you need to buy the DVD. But you also want to see it sooner, so you will go and see the movie as well.

If you guys are so dismayed by this greedy attempt to make more money, why don't you talk less with your mouth, and make a stand with your wallet instead by not seeing the movie?

Yeah, well I already missed alot of key scenes in the 2 first parts, so I don't think i will bother to see the rest, and willl stick to the book, its better anyway

Heard on the radio yesterday that it will make the DVD version

I do agree with you btw, but one can also argue that they missed many key moments in the first two movies to cut the film downto size for the cinema
