I'm going away

I have to visit head office tomorrow for a week. Wouldn't normally be a problem except that head office is about 200 miles away. This means no internet access and this means no DH

. This also means no girlfriend/family for a week and I will miss her/them a lot although she will protest she misses me more.

I wont be back until Friday afternoon so I'll see you guys then.

Thanks m8. I'll have to be carefull cos I'm driving down and I have had a few 'near misses' over the last few weeks. And there are the speed cameras to contend with as well.

A couple months ago I had to go away for 5 days w/o Internet- Went to Windsor Ontario- I took my PS2 and rented 5 DVDs ans 2 games. It was still boring as hell.

Got here safe and well after a crappy 5 and half hour drive. The Boss took me out last night for drinks and food and the guys I'm working with are looking after me well. Just 3 and a half days to go!

Just under 5 hours to get back. Got stuck in a tailback for a good few miles just after I passed leeds so that added more or less an hour onto the journey. Saw one guy in front of me going too fast too close to the car in front and had to swerve across the carriageway while leaving half his tyres on the tarmac.

Glad I drove carefully.

And I just found out I get my nice, brand new company van next week, complete with fuel card which should make these 'little' trips a bit less painfull. (I'm going to work in Glasgow on Monday)

Exactly right. Although on monday, its going to take me at least 3 hours to get to where I'm going, then another hour to get to my next 2 jobs and then another 3 hours to get home. The boss refuses to allow overtime because the overtime budget is really stretched. I'm really getting sick of working for this company.
