EEK! Worst Experience Ever

...or HOW A HAPPY WEEKEND CAN BECOME IN A NIGTHMARE

This weekend i have seen and "smell", the worst thing in my life.

I study in a university 80 milles far away from my parents hollyday apartment, and i use it to keep there a lot of frozen food inside two big freezers to take some food to my apartment.

In any case, me and my friends decided to go there to watch a soccer match (Spain against Norway )and party.

The point is that when we arrived to the apartment i opened the door and one of my friends switched on the light and.......nothing happened, the transformer was off (two weeks ago, a lightning turned off all transformers) .so the first word that i say was #!?*.;^*#.

The truth is that the first that i did was to go to the kitchen by the main corridor when i began to smell a fucking stench that came from the kitchen. I opened the door and............... YOU CANT IMAGINE WHAT DID I SEE AND SMELL.

A dry blood stream came out both freezers. I went to the first one and..........i opened the door........... a lot of fucking larva were eaten all my dear meet, fish and food. If that seems horrible try to imagine how the smell was. It still stinks.

After to open the second feezer (smell worst), i was clouse to vomit, the smell was unbearable.

In any case, me, my girlfriend,my brother in law and my friends (some people more than others) began to clean it.

BELIEVE ME, I STILL CAN SMELL THIS STENCH AND I CANT APART IT FROM MY MIND (MY DREAMS NOW ARE NIGHTMARES)

In all my years, I actually have had a similar experience.

Here's what you have to do:

1. Open all the windows and doors to ventilate the place.

2. Once you get the bloody mess and spoiled food (and maggots) out, try to find a place where you can bury the mess. Bury it deeply enough to cover the smell. About 2-3 feet should work.

3. Take a bleach solution with warm water and liquid laundry detergent and sponge out the freezers. The bleach will help to more rapidly remove the stench from the place and also sanitize the surfaces at the same time.

4. If there is carpet and/or upholstery in the place, you'll do well to use a carpet deodorizer to sprinkle onto the carpet and/or upholstery. Let it sit while you do the other work. Once the other work is finished, vacuum this off the surfaces where you sprinkled it.

5. Once this has been done, before you leave the place again for a period of time, secure the place by closing the windows and doors and place opened boxes of baking soda in maybe 3 - 4 locations. It wouldn't hurt to use more depending on the size of the place. (Arm & Hammer works well.) Just open the tops of the boxes and set them around. The baking soda will absorb the smell and help make the place a little easier to enter on your next trip.

Finally, expect that you'll detect a bit of the scent for some time to come. It's going to take quite a while for the odor to work out of the walls and other surfaces.

Believe me, I know what it's like. I have a very keen sense of smell.

I knew a cop that had to deal with dead bodies......he said a good thing to do was pour coffee grounds into a frying pan and heat it on the stove. It doesn't smell too great either, but it's better than that rot-reek. It also helps knock the smell out of the house/apartment.

I personally never had the need to try that, luckily.

A few months ago, I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Since then, I've been exercising more and watching what I eat. I've been doing pretty well, for the most part. One of the most important things I have to watch out for is my blood sugar levels. While it's important that I don't eat things that will raise my blood sugar to unhealthy levels, it's even more important that I don't let my blood sugar drop too low.

A couple of weeks ago I came down with something pretty bad.. I'm still not sure if it was a cold or a sinus infection, but it sucked. Sometime around 3 in the afternoon I went to lay down in bed and try to get some rest. I woke up at about 8 o'clock, and I was feeling hungry, so I went to the kitchen and started to make something to eat. I started to feel kinda weird, so I tested my blood sugar. It was a little low, but not at a point where I would normally be concerned, so I went back to the microwave and set the timer.

I don't remember too much after that, but somehow I managed to manuever myself over to the kitchen sink and prop myself up against it. I remember being in some kind of strange state that seemed to be halfway between consciousness and unconsciousness. My mind was racing, but I was somehow disconnected from the world around me. I was panicking.

I heard the microwave go off, which helped snap me out of it. I just focused on the sound of the microwave beeping, and told myself to "wake up". I couldn't open my eyes because they were already open, and it took every ounce of concentation I had to make the world come back into focus. When it did, I found that I was leaning over the sink, and I honestly don't know how I got there. I grabbed my sandwich from the microwave, quickly took a couple of bites, then carefully walked into the living room where I called somebody to come over, just in case something like this would happen again.

This was, by far, the scariest experience of my entire life. If the microwave hadn't gone off, there's no telling what would have happened to me. I probably would have passed out, and had been lying on the floor for several hours before anybody would have found me. Scary thought.

Needless to say, the next time I'm sick, I'm going to be extra careful so this doesn't happen again.
