I got this interesting spam mail today.... this time its not offering to enlarge my parts, offer baldness cures or make me a multi billionaire. this time, well this time ...............

You might be onto something stu, I searched the net for translators and after many attempts to work out this garbage I happened to stumble upon an alien life form translator which indeed has given me some interesting results !

Yea that is pretty much the ratio I have with my e-mail at home. Just I don't get the money ones. I get all the places trying to sell Vicoden and VIagra illegally...... They just installed some new Mail Sweepers here at work ( Trend Micro Servers) and that has taken our corporate spam problem WAY down. The average user was getting 40-60 spams a day. Now the average users sees 1-2 a day....

I keep mailwasher pretty busy at home..hehehe

If there were, then ther's a simple 3 word answer to the bizarre junk -

BAYESIAN SPAM FILTERING!

Since this works by dividing the words in messages into "probable spam", and "probable non-spam" (and presumably "no indication" as well), they load a message up with random english words to vex the spam filter.

A similar tactic is used by those who disrupt newsgroups, generating random semi-plausible headers, and they get more expert every time - eg. one used random hex digits, so I threw in a filter against it.

The annoying thing with some newsgroup disruptions - you can see INSTANTLY by eye that the junk is different, but can't figure out how to tell the newsreader.
