Decisions... decisions...
Which to buy! arrgghh!!!
In the market for a new personal audio player... I have been looking at both MP3 and MD - almost definately decided on MP3. My fav atm would have to be the Creative ZEN NX -  30GB HD But I have also been looking at the "Xtra" version with 60GB HD - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...273838-8950059 - I don't think that the larger HD and better screen are worth the extra £100 though - won't need the full 30GB - let along 60GB! Philips have a VERY nice looking magnesium thingy with 15GB HD - but it is £50 more than the NX and there have been some issues with it so...  - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...273838-8950059I was considering an IPOD too - but seems to be overpriced for what it is - although - I would prefer a firewire interface - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...273838-8950059 as for Minidisc players... I just can't decide I can't decide - I am obviously looking for quality over quantity of music - like MD can always buy more disks!!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated! TY

Yeah - I like the Ipods - problem with them though is that they are overpriced, the audio is bad quality when compared with the Zen - since posting through reviews etc... I have managed to narrow down my selection, it's now between the Creative Zen NX (30GB) and the Magnesium Sony thing (MZ-M10) - both @ £200 - from what I have heard the sound quality from the Sony is the best you can get - so I'm swinging towards MD - plus there is the size factor - the Sony is Very small and the sony comes with a handy docking station and substantially better battery life... but decisions decisions!!! If only I could get both - lol - well... I could, but I would rather get a couple of new hard drives and one or the other

You should get one of the apple Ipods. I hear they are the best, but I personally dont use them.

cough up the dough and get the ipod...my bro has one...it just kicks the teeth out of any mp3 player/recorder i know of.

Hmmm... I have been reading reviews of the Ipod and Zen and Sony MD - apparently the Ipod is the worst of them all for sound qual - and that's what I care about - not how it looks or how much it can store - I'm still swinging towards the Sony MD - do appreciate the opinions though

...can't trust it till you go and "try" it yourself..... if you can find a local shop(s) that hold these..... surely, they will let you try them out RIGHT there AND then.... try them all out with specific music... such as ones that push the evelope on highs/lows/mids....

yup Judas - did exactly that yesterday
 - I'm getting a Sony MZ-N10 Minidisc player - best sound qual of them all - tried them out with muse-bliss and RHCP-Californication. Plus - I like the size of the Sony MD - it's alot smaller and lighter than the Zen and Ipod. Thanks for the contributions guys! Greatly appreciated!

Oh - and battery life is also a big advantage of the MD - the Zen has 10 hour battery life, the Ipod has 8 hour and the MD is nearing 60 hours - good for those long flights to the states!
