I've got to try (someday) to weed out my old and obsolete burned CDs. Now that I've gotten a DVD Burner, I'm wanting to do a better job of keeping these things organized.
However, for just quick and easy storage of burned disks, I've found it's quite a nice little tactic to just simply put the burned ones on an empty spindle. Keeps the storage nice and small and it's not that hard to find something you might be looking for later on. Anyone else using this method of storage? |

Personally, I refuse to buy my disks on those spindles. I MUST have the cases with them when I buy them. I'm somewhat anal about the condition of my CD/DVD's, they are ALL spotless and like brand new. Spindled disk are not conducive to that, IMO. Besides, I don't like buying the cases seperately, they don't come with labeling sleeves that way.

Seems kind of silly to me. If I stored my CDs on spindles, I'd probably have a hell of a time trying to find them. Labelled cases and binders are definitely the way to go.

Not me!
Hmm... a CD binder...that's a good idea. So is that toilet paper holder dealie .ATM, I do buy spindles. I especially like the Memorex Black CD-R's. They look so cool because they're black on the "shiny" side! Makes them look like old playstation discs. To go along with those, I use these nice slim colored cases: ![]() It helps in finding CDs quickly because of the colors. In the future, I hope to get something like this: ![]() It's pretty cool. Computer, or independent controlled. And the PC software has a lot of features which you can read about here: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...u=K26-2800%20P At the moment, I have very few CDs so I have no need for such a thing. Right now, I have a CD holding plastic box that holds about 15 cd's but since I have the half-size cd cases it holds 30 of them. Last edited by -={420}=-; Dec 8, 2003 at 06:37 PM. |
