I would... wait for the payment to clear, then send it recorded delivery - if it doesn't arrive - or he claims it doesn't arrive you are not liable

I hope he was messing with me, otherwise that would suck.

And The_Neon_Cowboy you always have a right to refuse the winner of an auction if things seem shady. If it makes you feel better for the price you sold it for I would not mind buying it from you and I have paypall.

well it's cleared, i'm gonna email the guy to confim the adress. aand i 'm thinking fo calling the hotel but it's not a 1-800 number long distance. will they give out info like who's in a room? If the guys really there that would ease things.

just athought....
i just have a funny feeling it'll get redirected, or they will decline recept at the hotel and the dude will call have it held and pick it up at the postoffice or ups center (depending on how i ship it). If this transaction is bunk.

from now on i'll emner to put to confirms adresses only on my auctions

i asked for shipping adress confrmation..

Quote:
Hello,

I just need to confirm the address you want this shipped to insure that it's correct.

(the adress)

Im trying my best not to sound rude in asking this. But is there a particular reason this is being sent to a hotel address? It's an odd request and i'm just being cautious, thank you for your understanding in this.

Thanks Again,

Do not send it. If he can't cough it up then he doesn't deserve it. Most likely it's a stolen credit card.

I agree Z.. 68.xx is a very common address .. and would also like to assure our members that only staff see our IP's .. Trust me I know

As for Neon as I have said in im and posting here now .. hold the payment and ask for confirmation of shipping address .. too simple ..
Make him come too you .. If hes fake .. let the authorities take care of it

Neon,

If the only thing that's worrying you is that he's giving you a hotel address, and, if the payment has cleaered, I'd send it on to him. I know that, in our area of Atlanta, we have what's called 'extended stay' motels/hotels. You can get an efficiency room (includes small kitchenette) by paying a weekly or monthly amount. Technically, people aren't supposed to stay in these 'forever' but some have been known to spend months in one of these rooms while trying to get settled in the area.

It just could be a situation like that he's dealing with.

Best of luck to you on this!
