Komplett aftersales service is brilliant!

My Sapphire 9700np has gone kaput. one or two of the ram chips are screwy (not caused by ocing). So... they are going to send me a new one... but wait... they are no longer in production and they can't get ahold of them anymore!

Soooo... I will either be getting a 9700pro AIW or a 9800pro 128MB Sapphire

Aint warranties great

and Komplett have been great about it - I recommend them to anyone wanting to buy computer equipment!

Cool- can I ask what the symptoms were? Did it quit working altogether, just display artifacts at stock speed, or freeze/CTD while gaming?

umm..you sure it wasn't caused by OC? i remember you were running the card at a 9700 pro frequencies with stock cooling

Nah - wasn't caused by ocing - I have been running the mem at 290 for some time now... It's the core I have been pushing

It looks like they are going to send me the 9800pro, if they offered me the choice it would be difficult, because I have wanted a VIVO card for a while now. I may have to wait till R420 for that though

K so your getting a 9800pro for free right? Because of warranty...

And then in Jan. your getting a 9800xt anyways? Why.... why not just stick with the 9800pro, or actually... sell the 9800pro before you get the 9800xt, and buy something else.
