ok..i have this problem here..I bought a new gigabyte motherboard (GA7VT600-L) an athlon XP 2400, and 256 megs of ram and put it with an old 16 gig hdd, CD-ROM and floppy drive and i attempted to load windows XP, and it gets to the screen in the loading proccess where it says 'loading windows', and crashes. So I reboot, and format the harddrive, and complete the installation of windows....everything is all good and i go to take a cd out of the cd-rom and the computer freezes and nothing happens so i reboot and when i boot up it says "this file is corrupt or missing \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM"...I dont know wat to do...by the way..I attempted this twice and it always crashes in windows....and also it always happened after i set the proccessor to the correct speed...??..Wat should i do..wat could be causing this problem??i hope this all makes sense and someone can help me...thank you..

sounds like their is bad clusters on the HD or you just had an bad OS reload. Or the MOB drivers were not installed right.
