that is we get here in my town, not the east coast snow, but real rocky mountian blizzards. I enjoy it, and relish the fine white patina of blown snow all everything...ahhhh...the insulating blanket of white crystaline joy from the sky...

Yup- it was headed in that general direction! It's bark is worse than it's bite though... It snows slow, but ALL DAY LONG- Then the next day it gets all warmish and turns all wet and kinda sloshy (at least here it did)
It was a south, south westerly flow-

It's like 32 degrees F here with 80% humidity- Not exactly good for nice powdery snow.

That would suck- Where I grew up, I've seen the landscape look like a painting or something, right after a certain kind of snow that seems to build up about 4 or 5 inches on each branch or each tree on a hill- everywhere you look.

Another thing you probably wouldn't know about a fresh heavy snowfall is that when you go outside, it's almost completely silent (if there isn't any wind). The snow just absorbs all the sound and it's like bein in a recording studio or something. It's something you should really try to experience someday, I guess I've always taken it for granted- it is pretty amazing though. It's best away from a city, up an a hill somewhere, or out in a field- away from traffic.
