I've been awake sinse-
I've been awake since 3 hours before they announced they got Saddam. About 2:00am Sunday EST- About 30hrs, 40min. Just a normal day too.
Nothing out of the ordinary for sleeping habits. I think I may have a problem.

I once stayed awake for about 54 hours, it got really freaky and i eventually passed out for 1hr. I then made my way home and slept for 24 hours solid. Woke up very disorientated...VERY.

my 54 hour stint was not assisted by any "stimulants"...does that make me the winner?

After around 24 hours or so, I become a useless zombiified slug though, but I just don't feel like sleeping.. Pretty messed up. Only drugs are perscription pain killers that my Doc. perscribes me, maybe that's what's doing it.

I am guessing that it's the painkillers.....if they are stong they can really mess ya up bigtime....even when taken as prescribed

They are pretty strong, (hydrocodone) and I take them exactly as prescribed- But I've always been kinda predisposed to being a vampire anyway-
It's just gone to an extreme now- Not everyday or anything, just more than I would say is normal. Funny thing is, they make me feel tired, but them I just zone out sometimes, and don't sleep. When I do sleep after staying up long periods I crash though, last time it was about 12 hours sleeping, straight through. That's not normal for me at all or for any 31 year old I don't think. At least I don't go nuts and hallucinate and whatnot.. lol- at least not yet..

I'm going on 36 hours now- Just got my second wind. I'll probably be up until early tomorrow morning... If it's until 2 AM- that will be 48 hours. To me that's normal, most people would think it's some kind of disorder though.
I never really kept track of how many days I've been awake straight through, but I bet it might be 4, maybe 5 days. I knew there were other peeps out there that go through the same shit~ (I just have never met one in person).

I usually pull 2 allnighters per week due to my job so for me being without sleep for more than 48hours is not a big deal.

about 17 hours in 24 is how long i stay awake...and having 5 kids (two of them under 2 years old) i think thats a good effort
but in my younger days i use to have alot of "1 day weekends" as saint k put it and as for the "stimulants"....no comment

Whoa! Freaky

Yeah, I here ya... A week after my Bike Incident , they gave me hydrocodone for my broken ribs and jaw.... (didnt work all to well... but I think they figured after a week in the hospital I was feeling better..... NOT!) BUT, they didnt keep me awake.... I've pulled a lot of 4-5 days stretches. And must admit, it was drug induced as well... fun times... but not a good life style. though I still feel your pain... I have a BAD sleeping habit as well.... I must say its freaky to find someone with a almost exact sleeping pattern.... MG

just out of randomness, i feel i should inform you that if you have not slept for 72 hours, you are considered legally insane in the USA.

No coffee either.

i know of a man that tried to push 2 weeks..... coffee.... beer... you name it... he did it all.... (and also tried to stay drunk)...... he finally passed out around the 12th day..... slept 3 weeks.. but not in a hostbital..... he woke up.. and was completely out to lunch for know what had happened for the past 2 months.... (lost some memory)....... although he felt rather well rested.. he was tired in a different sence..... understandable even after a long sleep...

I've done 80-90 hour stints with maybe one-two hours of sleep every 20 hours or so. That was suprisingly unpleasant, all told.

I worked 3rd shift for 2 years out of highschool. Went in at 11:30PM left after sun came up at 8:00AM - After that for a year I worked 2nd shift, 4:30 to Midnight. A few years later I worked at UPS (basically lifting weights the entire time) from 2:00AM to 9:00AM- I'm sure that has something to do with messed up sleeping habits, I remember how messed up it was t see the sun coming up and being tired and ready for bed for 2 years- It's a pretty weird feeling. Come to think of it, my sleeping schedule has been wacked out ever since.
