How to wash the cat

1. Thoroughly clean the toilet.

2. Add the required amount of shampoo to the toilet water and have both lids lifted.

3. Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

4. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so he cannot escape).

CAUTION: DO NOT GET ANY PART OF YOUR BODY TOO CLOSE TO THE EDGE, AS HIS PAWS WILL BE REACHING OUT FOR ANY SURFACE THEY CAN FIND.

NOTE: THE CAT WILL SELF AGITATE AND MAKE AMPLE SUDS. NEVER MIND THE NOISES THAT COME FROM THE TOILET, THE CAT IS ACTUALLY ENJOYING THIS.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "powerwash and rinse" which I have found to be quite effective.

6. Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can. Quickly lift both lids.

8. The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.

ROFLMFAO! I actually washed the cat once, I'll never do that again as after attempting to blow-dry the cat he bit me and took the end of my thumb off. Yes a true story, stupid but true. I shoulda tried this!

Those of you who have ever bathed a struggling cat will know how strong, fast and mean they are! Multiply that strength by 1000 and you have the Tiger, which brings us back to the Grizzly v Tiger debate!

One of my cats weighs about 18lbs, the other one weighs about 23lbs. Yes, they are about as strong as a rabid pit-bull when they want to be. Especially when I try to clip their claws, or force feed them medicine. I weigh about 185 lbs and one of them has actually started to lift me up when I was on top of it trying to hold it down so me g/f could give it some medicine. I was pretty amazed at the strength I felt coming out of the (comparatively) small animal. It's amazign how strong they get when they start going a little "wild".

We had to wash our cat once....he got into something and it was eating him up (scabs all over, lots of itching and scratching on his part), so I decided to try and wash whatever it was off of him.

Amazingly, while he hated to be in the tub and was clawing to get away, he never once used his claws on ME, just on everything else. He's a good kitty.

And the wash did the trick, within a week he was scab and itch free. Strangely though, he won't go anywhere near the bathroom anymore.

The funny part is all 3 of my cats love water.... if I run the bathtub for my daughter I have to fight to keep the cats out!!

Yes I have strange cats.....

2 of them are big too. One is fat (14lbs) her sister is skinny (9lbs) and the other cat is a larger breed. He is 18lbs but that is 4lbs lighter then he should be. The Vet said he should be 22-24lbs. Yes he is a big boy but very gentle at heart.

Yeah, that's good, my kitties know who the boss is too-

It takes ALLOT for mine to get crazy too- it's usually when they get really scared- then they go a little crazy and sometimes make me think very carefully about where my fingers are in relation to their chompers.

I used to hate cats when I was younger (not really hate them - I like ALL animals- but I was always a "Dog person")- But I've grown up and matured enough to appreciate what a cat is- and when I got 2 kittens (6 weeks old, thanks to my girlfriend bringing them home!)- and raised them completely the way I wanted to- surprisingly they turned out to be the coolest cats I've ever seen.

I found that you have to just LET a cat BE a cat, and understand that they aren't a dog, and kind if give them some space, but still don't let them get away with too much.. Pretty soon they figure out what they can and cannot do- and they turn out to be happy animals that are great pets and just kinda hang out..

Isn't it amazing how much respect they have for you though? Like when they are really scared and freaking out- but they still rememeber not to bite and scratch you. That's when you start realizing that cats (some cats , not all) are actually highly intelligent and fairly complex. They're pretty cool to have them living in the house after they get over being kittens for the first year. Until then it's like having a 2 year old toddler that can outrun you! - and hide on you too. LOL, always an adventure though.

LOL- yeah, healthy, and happy. She's on a little bit of a diet right now. She'll eat until she pukes, like a dog or something. Nutty cat. That pic was from a few months ago when she was really getting big- she's actually shrinking now thank god.
