My very best regards to DH

It's hard to believe how far Driverheaven has come since May Day of 2002. The tireless efforts of Allan, his administration team, his moderation team, and its members have turned a newcomer into a powerhouse. You know you've hit the big time when you have your own screensaver and ATi pays for you to get into events. I've been around almost since the beginning. I've seen what DH has turned into due to your work and your loyalty, and I like it. This community is truly something to be proud of.

Needless to say, when I was first made a moderator, I was ecstatic. To be associated with such a fine team and community was truly an honor. So you can imagine how much more exicting it was to become supermoderator! Yet with this title came a lot of responsibility, and I cannot help but feel that I have let many of you down lately.

I have been grappling with some personal problems lately and I am very grateful that the few people I've told about this have kept it to themselves. As of late I have spent very little time reading about computer-related things and instead have been focusing on light-hearted, diversionary gaming and other such nonsense to keep myself occupied. I know that this, too, shall pass. Yet for the past few months, and, to a lesser extent, lately, I have been somewhat preoccupied and upset and I know many of you have noticed. I have neglected DH as a result, and I am sorry.

My recent set of personal problems and my own feelings of irresponsibility and inadequacy as a moderator, have led me to think that I ought to make room for those more competent and those more able to give the site the level of dedication this site deserves.

And so it with a heavy heart that I am stepping down from staff.

It's been a lot of fun working for you all and being part of this community. I hope nobody takes this personally or as an insult. I care about this site, and I hope we can all still be good friends. Thank you all for everything. I will continue to be a member of this site, albeit on the periphery, and am very excited for what will become of DH in the months and years ahead.

The same goes for me as i much like dh very much, and since i were invited by veridian3 to become a news poster i also felt very privileged to become part of the success of dh.

But am sorry to read of your sudden announcement to step down.although we both personally have not made that much contact.

i thought you were doing a good job of things personally,but you have made your decision.

on a small note all the best for your problems hope you get through ok.

Sorry to hear that you are leaving the DH staff as you have always been a respected member of their team.

I hope your other issue's clear themselves up and allow you to get yourself refocused and back on track.

Being a departed staff member myself I know how hard it can be to balance the load of the site with the load of life.

In the end things in my life were too hard and pressures forced some issues so Im just a member now as well.

In the end it all tends to work out for the best though. I know that some of the staff that have come after me are more capable than I am.

Hopefully things start to get better for you Ken. If you ever need to talk about anything you know Im on your msn list

Just kidding. Diversionary gaming is an excellent tool for improving mental health, and I sincerely hope that a combination of it and things getting generally better rectifies your current situation's severity rating.
