Omega GURU3D Drivers Petition

I'm starting an open petition to get GURU3D to host Omega Drivers... and drop dna's

anyone who wants to make a say email guru3d editors @

http://www.guru3d.com/mail/

Heres is something to cut and paste if u wish...
Quote:
Dear Guru3d,

Why do you not host omega drivers? I'm greatly appreciate if you would please add them to you downloads section.

Why do you host DNA's? It's in my honest opinion and best believe that DNA's are nothing more then modified Omega's and re-branded. So in promoting DNA you are promoting some who is apparently stealing and/or taking credit for that of another.

This is part of an open petition that for u you to add Omega's driver to you driver section and secondly the DNA's removed.

You may find the source of the petition here...

There is no need for this, I already have enough mirror sites that fight on each Omega release to get on the list.

Thanks for the concern anyway

I have received this email from guru3d today

Hey dude, this is Hilbert from Guru3D.com

Please do me a favor and remove this thread in your forums:
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/showthre...threadid=35445

Completely uncalled for and as it seems some people like to call me Nazi for hosting DNS drivers.

Secondly, I posted my feelings towards this weird situation over here:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?&threadid=75912

I hope you'll do the right thing.

Kind regards,

This is my reply.

Having read the thread on my forums I cant actually see anyone
referring to you as a "nazi" or any form of dictator but im not out to cause problems for Guru3d
I work in a professional manner as you would have seen if you had
contacted me beforehand. After reading your thread on guru3d I
feel a little bit insulted myself, firstly let me address I was not
aware david was NOT on staff so I apologise for that error. Secondly
this isnt a "personal" quest, this is a defending of the reputation of
one of my friends, an admin on driverheaven.net who works alongside
ATI in beta testing and other areas as I do myself - we are not
damaging the reputation of modded drivers, ATI themselves work with
us. I know Omega as a man of principals and intregity, and after all
we are his offical support forum.

Perhaps if you were
aware exactly of the situation behind the scenes with Mr Van Bruggen you would have had
the courtesy to come to me before seeming to lecture me and my site on my conduct
in your forums, something I havent done regarding Guru3d or yourself -
I feel after reading that thread I might have some grounds for doing
so guru3d is hosting what is for all accounts and purposes a guy who is basically stealing
tweaks while insulting the original modder while hiding under double
digit accounts spreading lies and propoganda. But that isnt my style,
I didnt come to the situation of "exposing" Mr Bruggen overnight, this
has been going on for 6 months and if I feel people have a right to
know the complete situation on this, I will make sure they and my
members are educated enough to make their own decisions.

I appreciate your last statement - that you will monitor the situation
and I also would like to strongly recommend you protect the integrity of your
site and all it stands for by distancing yourself from someone who appears to be not only
mentally unbalanced but thrives on copying others work while posting
public insults in a flammatory manner not only to members but to ATI
staff on public forums, a situation I know might develop further if he
doesnt retract some of his statements.

I will close the thread on my site with a statement, but I will not
remove it - I have
not seen any personal slanderous statements regarding you or guru3d or
anyone calling you a "nazi" if ive missed it then please let me know -
the issue appears to be that people seem a little bewildered you would
in fact support DNA drivers in the
first place considering their dubious roots and the appalling personal
conduct of their creator, thats my personal take on
the matter, if
people want to petition you to ask you to remove them, then I dont see
why they shouldnt be allowed to do so, after all you have a feedback
form if im correct and if this is important to your members and
visitors then you should act accordingly. Otherwise remove the option
to offer feedback in the first place.

Have a good week.
