Default Post What music do you listen to?

I am partial to many of the bands that fall under the punk rock genre. I favorites would probably be Pennywise, Millencolin, Bad Religion, AFI, BigWig, and Guttermouth. I don't listen to much other than punk rock, save Metallica and some good 80's music.

Enigma, Dido, Enya, Miscellaneous Trance stuff, Miscellaneous Alternative/Rock.

I am ANTI-COUNTRYMUSIC
I usually don't like Rap/RB, but sometimes I do... Just don't like how they always talk about how they got high last night and how they now have a boner and feel like fscking everything.... can't they just do ONE decent song without some kind of insane story or perverted fantasy or vulgarity?

In the last 2-3 years I mostly listened to alternative country.
Bands like Uncle Tupelo, Son volt, Jayhawks, Clem Snide, Whiskeytown, etc...

I like all kind of music really excluding heavy metal or TOP100 kind of things.

Led Zeppelin, Doors, Metallica, Rush, U2, Kiss, Creed, Pearl Jam. Just put the radio on classic rock or alternative and I'm pretty happy.

ACK, I think we both need to run out these forums The majoriy here I'm sure don't listen to Hip-Hop/R&B from what I've read so far. Me hides under table. :o I don't hate or put down people who listen to other music because thats kiddy stuff right? Now we get ignored.

I also don't by CD's hardly anymore, just listen to it on the radio & DirectMusic.

Mostly Godspell, sometimes, when in the mood for something heavier, Limp Bizkit, Creed, Linking Park and some old 80's rock classics like Montley Crew, Stryper, Bon Jovi, Guns'n Roses, etc...

I listen to Trance mostly. Also Enya, Dido, and a few other more 'mellow' artists. I used to be heavy into Fear Factory, Isis, Nerosis, Nile, and "cookie cutter" style bands (the metallica, megadeth, Marilyn Manson, etc). But now its trance, house, free-style, Energy, etc. (oakenfold, PVD, dave ralph, Gatecrasher, blank&jones, the Ministry of sound...)

well for those of you who like nice, melodic music with alot of soul, I would certainly recommend you listen to some of the eva cassidy material thats out.

its such a shame she died at such a young age, her voice was really special, and after reading her life story she certainly seemed a really great person as well.

sometimes its strange isnt it, how people sometimes only get recognition after they die?

I can't believe nobody listens to Dream Theater. For all of you that put heavier, rockin' groups....get some Dream Theater mp3s. John Petrucci is one of the best guitar players in the world, Mike Portnoy is one of the baddest ass drummers, bass player is great, keyboardest...awesome. The singer is kinda operatic (people who don't like DT generally don't like him). Search for Glass Prison or Erotomania. Other than them - Rush, Linkin' Park, Led Zeppelin, Metallica, No Doubt, Frank Zappa, and jazz like Maynard Ferguson, Arturo Sandoval, Don Ellis, and Bill Chase.
